God's issue with man is LIFE. Jesus is the way , the truth and the LIFE. If we neglect so great a salvation , God will reject us. If we abort the LIFE in the womb, he will hold us accountable. And the only land God says is His Jerusalem. If we divide or attack it and the Jews, He will say " depart you into everlasting fire, I never knew you!!" Dear Friends:

1. Yesterday we had a tremendous victory.Massachusetts ballot Question 2 (assisted suicide) was defeated by a 51% to 49% margin. The groups opposing assisted suicide achieved victory even though the original polling in Massachusetts indicated that 68% supported, 19% opposed and 13% undecided. Link.

EPC congratulates the Committee Against Physician Assisted Suicide, No on Question 2, Choice is an Illusion and disability rights group Second Thoughts for defeating the assisted suicide ballot in Massachusetts. Link.

Assisted suicide was rejected in Massachusetts because Question 2 was opposed by many groups with different perspectives. Disability rights group, Second Thoughts, effectively opposed assisted suicide from a disability perspective. Massachusetts Disability Rights activists are relieved that Question 2 was defeated. Link.

2. In Canada, the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition is holding its national conference and dinner on Saturday November 10 at the Ramada hotel in London Ontario. You will learn a lot about how assisted suicide was defeated in Massachusetts. Link.

EPC has received several new sponsorships for students to attend the conference at no cost. Please email us at:info@epcc.ca to request a deVeber sponsorship.

3. The book: Exposing Vulnerable People to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide is at the printers and will be available soon. Order copies of the book today. Link. Order online link or call EPC at: 1-877-439-3348.

4. Tomorrow (November 8) EPC is submitting its application to intervene in the appeal of theCarter v Canada decision in British Columbia. On June 15, Justice Smith struck down the assisted suicide law and ordered parliament to legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia under certain conditions. EPC intervened in the Carter case at the lower court and we hope to intervene at the BC Court of Appeal.

Last Friday, Justice Smith awarded the BC Civil Liberties Association $1 Million dollars for overturning the laws protecting Canadians from euthanasia and assisted suicide. Link.

Please contact Justice Minister Hon Rob Nicholson at:mcu@justice.gc.ca and ask him to appeal the $1 million dollar award to the BC Civil Liberties Association in the Carter v Canada case.

5. Within the next 6 weeks, EPC will:
(1) submit its application to the BC Court of Appeal requesting intervention standing in the appeal of the decision by Justice Smith;
(2) defend our application before the BC Court of Appeal;
(3) intervene in the Leblanc case in Quebec, a case that is similar to the Carter case in BC;
(4) intervene in the Rasouli case at the Supreme of Canada, a case that will determine whether or not physicians have the unilateral right to withdraw life-sustaining treatment, without consent.

Please support our work as we protect vulnerable people from euthanasia and assisted suicideLink.

P.S. Philip Nitschke, Australia's Dr Death is in trouble again.Link. Nitschke claims that HOPE Australia and the EPC are causing his problems, Link but I think he is causing his own problems.
