"No document in world history so changed the world for the better as did the Ten Commandments."
Dennis Prager’s new video series on the Ten Commandments offers insight into the profound historical impact and continued relevance of the most important laws ever written. “No document in world history so changed the world for the better as did the Ten Commandments,” Prager says in the introduction to the video series. “Western civilization – the civilization that developed universal human rights, created women's equality, ended slavery, created parliamentary democracy among other unique achievements – would not have developed without them.”
The crucial premise of the Commandments, Prager states, is their source: “an Authority higher than any man, any king, or any government.” Moses did not give the law; the biblical text makes clear that “God spoke all these words.” In this way, the Commandments transcend the whims and inevitable tyranny of man, who will define morality in terms of what benefits him.
Prager uses murder as an example of a moral issue that man without God will redefine as right for his own gain. For those who would argue that man does not need God to determine that murder is wrong, he points to the recent past where Communists and Nazis at the behest of the state killed around one hundred million citizens in the absence of a Higher Authority.
It's all too easy to be swayed by a government or a demagogue or an ideology or to rationalize that the wrong you are doing isn't really wrong. And even if you do figure out what is right and wrong, God is still necessary. People who know the difference between right and wrong do the wrong thing all the time. You know why? Because they can. They can because they think no one is watching. But if you recognize that God is the source of moral law, you believe that He is always watching.
The transcendence of man-made systems of authority is crucial in the First Commandment (in the Jewish enumeration), when God chooses a profound way to describe himself:
"I am the Lord your God who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage."
Prager argues that understanding the significance of this statement is essential to understanding all other Commandments. First, God establishes himself as the source of morality, the foundation of “ethical monotheism,” an objective code of right and wrong emanating from God rather than man. In this way, no man-made political system can redefine morality. But another crucial aspect of the First Commandment is God’s emphasis on freedom:
Note that God is not saying in this introduction to the Ten Commandments that He created the world. It surely would have made a lot of sense for God to introduce the Ten Commandments with the statement, "I am the Lord your God who created the world." That is, after all, pretty impressive, and would make sense: "I created the world: You better listen to Me." But no, the one thing God declares is that He took the Children of Israel out of slavery and into freedom. That's how much God hates slavery and how important God considers freedom. The Founders of America based their entire view of America on this belief -- that God wants us to be free. That is why the most iconic symbol of the American Revolution, the Liberty Bell, has only one sentence inscribed on it -- a verse from the Hebrew Bible: "Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants thereof."

We believed in Acts 1:8 to receive power and be witnesses from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. We had spiritual fire, healings, and deliverance from demons. I traveled to many villages, sharing my testimony. Within 7 years, I started 200 churches with some 30,000 members.

At our recent Israel China Kingdom Destiny Conference (co-sponsored by Maoz and Revive Israel), we had the honor of meeting Zhang Fuheng, one of the five "fathers" of the house church in China. Here are some excerpts of his sharing:
Part One - Testimony
In 1979 I became quite ill. I could not move except for my mouth. I wept almost everyday; I even cursed my own birthday and considered suicide.
There were very few Christians in China at this time. One Christian man who lived in a village at some distance, had his twin daughters taken away from him and sold into servitude. When he came searching for his daughters (but did not find them), he heard about my illness and came to share the "good news" about salvation with me. At that time I received new hope in my heart.
I began to pray to be healed. I prayed day and night for a week. Nothing seemed to happen. One morning I woke and saw the blanket was on the floor and realized I must have moved. I sat up, got out of bed and went downstairs. Everyone was shocked. Everyone in the house received the Lord.
The next week we opened the house to tell people about what happened. 200 people showed up including Christians from the surrounding villages. Of that group, 60 people from our village received the Lord, and a house church was started overnight in our home.
We had no Bibles at all. Someone from another village lent me his "bible" for one month, which was only part of the New Testament, with several books missing. I didn't know what to do, so I copied by hand the Scriptures that had been given me, before I had to return it.
(Just recently, 40 years later, the two daughters of the man who first shared the gospel with me were located, and their family reunited.)
Part Two - House Churches
In 1949 Mao ordered all foreign missionaries and businessmen to leave the country. Local Christian leaders were jailed. 1949 to 1979 was a dark period with much suffering. People wept and prayed. In 1979 the new Chairman Deng Xiaoping started the "Open Door Policy" allowing some business and trade to return.
At that time there were two types of churches: those registered with the government (the "three self" churches), and those unregistered, mostly in the villages. We in the villages could not relate to the registered churches. Their structure seemed foreign and Western to us, and unbiblical. We did not know what to do; so we just started reading the book of Acts. There we found all the answers. We felt the new house church movement was restoring the original apostolic tradition.
(In recent years there has been much reconciliation between the registered and unregistered churches.)

In 1983 came a new wave of intense persecution. I could not live in my home village for 5 years, just occasionally slipped in at night to visit my parents. The elder Chinese believers were scattered and persecuted. Suffering became so much a part of their lives, that some of the younger Christians who had not yet gone to jail began to pray, "God, why have I not gone to jail? Have I sinned? Is there something wrong?"
Christian leaders in the villages were beaten, shot or hanged; many were jailed repeatedly; women were stripped. My wife used to say of me, "My husband has the spiritual gift of being jailed." Most of the pastors had no Bible or training.
As the gospel spread in the wake of the persecution surrounding the death of Stephen the first martyr (Acts 8:1), so did it with us. In 1979 there were 700,000 Christians in China. Our house church movement has grown to 70 million believers! That's a 100 fold growth.
Part Three – Back to Jerusalem
The Chinese church is the largest in the world; the Israeli Messianic remnant is the smallest. Yet we see you as our "elder brother." The original apostles were the root which sprang out to all the branches. We have come back to you. We are not "without hope" because we are one in the family of Jesus.
Why did the Jews suffer so much in history? You are a miracle. The restoration of Israel is an act of God; and so is the restoration of the Messianic remnant. Many Chinese tourists come to Israel and when they see what has happened, they become believers in Jesus.
There was an early revival in China in the 1920's. Those early Christians had a vision to bring the gospel "back" from the ends of the earth (China) to Israel. They dedicated themselves to the "back to Jerusalem" movement. They felt they had received eternal life from the Jews and wanted to return to them the same grace.
So a large group of them started out on foot to walk toward Jerusalem, first into the far west of China. But in 1949, after the Communists came to power, the borders of China were shut tight. Since they could not leave, they set up a community in Xin Jiang Province near the border.
These young Christians prayed for decades with this vision. They grew older. When our pastors received the same vision, we traveled out to see them. Many had died. We told the elders who met us, "Take heart. We will go to Arabia and to Jerusalem." They wept and hugged us saying, "Now, Lord, Your servants may depart."
The Chinese Church loves Jesus, loves Israel, and loves the Arabs. Today we are here, hugging you. Just as the Sun rises in the East, so will this revival return to Jerusalem.

Jesus Himself said in John 4:22: “Salvation is from the Jews.” Every person who has received salvation through faith in Jesus owes their whole spiritual inheritance to the Jewish people. But the tragedy is that rather than acknowledge our debt to the Jewish people, multitudes of professing Christians over the centuries have compounded that debt by sixteen or more centuries of rabid anti-Semitism. Most of the anti- Semitic activity in Europe (which was the area mainly affected, but also in Russia) was carried out by professing Christians, often led by priests and by people carrying crucifixes, all done in the name of Christ.

PM Harper has had many accomplishments during his term in office. Most recently his steadfast resolve in standing against violence in the world where other leaders have been slow to react. We live in a great country and are the envy of the world and as such PM Harper should be applauded for his moral compass and his strong direction during difficult times. I for one, am glad that he is at the helm! Please let's show the naysayers what we think of their petition against his nomination! Thanks

1. SEEING "THE BEGINNING OF THE END" IN EUROPE?
"Hear the word of YHVH, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him, and guard over him as a shepherd does his flock.' For YHVH has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than her. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of YHVH" (Jeremiah 31:10-12).
" 'YHVH lives! who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. 'Behold, I will send for many fishermen,' says YHVH, 'and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. For My eyes are on all their ways." (Jeremiah 16:15-17).
In a recent article in the UK's oldest Jewish newspaper The Jewish Chronicle, Natan Sharansky voiced his belief that "we are seeing the beginning of the end of Jewish history in Europe." According to the former refusenik and present Jewish Agency chairman,
"Europe is abandoning its basic values of respecting identities while at the same time guaranteeing full freedom for its citizens.On the one hand, Europe opens its gates to immigration, to people who are not asked to share its values of freedom and tolerance. And on the other hand Europeans are rushing back toward the right-wing parties who are hostile to 'the other.' Then there is the intellectual atmosphere which asks Jews to choose between their loyalty to Israel and their loyalty to Europe. All this creates an impossible situation for Jews" ("Jewish Agency chairman responds in part o the rising wave of anti-Semitism crashing over the continent.": JPOST.com; 14/08/2014 15:56).
All of these factors appear to have been verified by the manifestations of anti-Jewish vitriol erupting across the continent on the occasion of Israel's recent 50-day battle with Hamas. From huge violent public demonstrations in London, Berlin and Paris, to a mock medieval-style public "execution" by hanging of Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu and former President Peres in the town square of an eastern Hungarian town (presided over by the town Mayor who ended his speech by grinding an "Israeli flag" into the dust with his heel); to a Spanish imam's anti-Semitic rant describing Jewish people as treacherous, war-mongering killers, and calling on Allah to "destroy the plundering Jews.do not spare a single one of them"-these all served to suggest that in large areas of Europe, a latent hostility towards the seed of Jacob is already in place and spreading-awaiting only a certain catalyst to bring it out into the open. Yesterday French Prime Minister Manuel Valls warned that with beleaguered President Francois Hollande's popularity at an all-time low, "In France, the extreme right of Marine Le Pen is at the gates of power." Le Pen is daughter of French politician Jean-Marie Le Pen whose xenophobia and anti-Semitism are legendary. Although she has sought to distance herself from her father's policies, her rapid rise to popularity at the helm of the far right has been viewed by many with great unease. Polls yesterday suggested a strong possibility that she might win, were an election for President to be held today.
This week it was announced that for the first time France has become the country with the highest number of Jews making aliyah (immigrating to Israel). Citing as stimulus, besides economic difficulties, a "climate of anti-Semitism that is losing its taboo," Jewish Agency head for France Ariel Kandel expects 6,000 new immigrants to arrive in Israel from France during 2014. At 500,000, the Jewish population in France is the largest in Europe, and this constitutes about 1% of that population. (France is also now home to the continent's largest-around 5,000,000-Muslim community.) "In the Western or free world," commented Kandel, "we've never seen one percent of the Jewish community immigrating to Israel," ("Jewish World: Anti=-Semitism drives largest ever French immigration to Israel": ynetnews.com, 5 Sept 14, 23:22).
Thank God that there is a strong acts to identify and come against the anti-Semitic trend in Europe. On Saturday German Chancellor Angela Merkel vowed to do everything within her power to fight anti-Semitism in Germany. She deplored the fact that Jewish institutions in Germany are still in need of police protection, and called for a big turnout at a rally against anti-Semitism which she will be addressing next weekend in Berlin. There have also been counter-demonstrations in Paris, London and other cities.
Yet, the growing general view appears to follow the opinion verbalized by European Congress president Moshe Kanto last April in Tel Aviv-that unless the fear in which Jews live can be substantially mitigated, "normative Jewish life in Europe is unsustainable"-that "Jews do not feel safe or secure in certain communities in Europe" anymore. Reports released last fall suggest that already almost a third of Jews living in several European countries are presently mulling emigration ("Jewish Agency chairman responds.").
PLEASE PRAY:
*That God would visit His covenant people in the Diaspora (lands outside of Israel to which their forefathers were scattered). That they would hear and listen to the call in their hearts to "return to the LORD and obey His voice" in order that their God will "bring them back from captivity, and have compassion on them, gather them again from all the nations where YHVH their God has scattered them"-there, to "circumcise their hearts and the hearts of their descendants to love YHVH their God with all their hearts and with all their souls, that they may Live!" (Deut. 30:2-6).
*For anointing among Messianic Jews in Europe to share with their Jewish brothers and sisters the message of the Lamb of God who carries away the sin of the world. Pray that the veil be removed from Jewish eyes to know their God and the name of His Son (Prov. 30:4) their Messiah, Savior and Brother.
*For believers in Europe to have revelation how to pray into the redemptive purposes of their nations-that those which are wavering in their regard for the people and nation of Israel would not turn against her.
*For Gentile Believers in certain parts of Europe where it will become necessary to provide temporary havens for Jews fleeing persecution-that they will hear clearly and follow the Lord's instructions in making the necessary preparations.
*That Jews in Europe will respond to the "fishermen" sent by God to draw them back to their Land-and not wait for the "hunters" (Jeremiah 16:17).
*For the thousands of French Jews pouring into Israel-that they will be absorbed quickly into the community there, take root and survive in God's grace. The first few years can be very difficult, especially for those older ones who cannot quickly learn the language or find jobs like what they had in their native lands. Pray for them to be given new clean Hearts, a living Hope, redemption, a New Covenant with their God in His Son (Ezekiel 36:24-29; Jeremiah 31:11, 17, 31).
2. RAIN.
"But the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of YHVH your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year" (Deuteronomy 11:11-12).
Rain has from the beginning been a sign of God's favor and blessing upon Israel (Deut. 28:12; from this week's Torah Portion). A lack of it (I Kings 8:35-36) generally is a call for Israel to take account of his ways, and to turn towards and call upon his maker and Lord. Last year Israel received less rain than she has in decades. There was a freak snowstorm in December, and a few sporadic showers-but for both the Former and Latter (Fall & Spring) rainy seasons, it should have been classed as a major disaster. So why wasn't it even in the news? Why weren't Israelis placed on water rationing as in the past? It was because of a modern blessing-Israel has finally during the past few years developed and built vast desalinization plants, which this year, for the first time proved capable of meeting the drinking needs of the population. Coupled with the waters from the December snows and the resources still available in the Sea of Galilee from previous well-watered years, even the crops were able to be irrigated.
We are grateful for this provision-and for the prudence exercised by our leaders in building the plants. Yet it still behooves us to pray for Rain. The aquifers along the coast are still running very low, as is the Sea of Galilee. While the desalinization plants sustained us this past year, they cannot in the long run stave off a major drought. The plants are extremely expensive to operate-and they will not cover the water necessary to irrigate crops. Also, only this past week came news that that honey will be in short supply this year-partly because this past dry year adversely affected the bee population. This is of course very dangerous on other fronts-such as the pollination of fruit trees and various grains which depend upon bee population being strong. Lastly, Israel cannot from a security standpoint allow himself to be placed in a position of total dependence upon water desalinization. The present physical mechanism for accomplishing this is enormous. One plant can cover the area of several football fields-making them easy targets for enemy attack from the air.
PLEASE PRAY:
*For God's mercies and blessings in sending abundant former (fall) and latter (spring) rains upon Israel this year.
*For Israel to turn her heart to hear what God is saying when the rains cease to fall.
*We give thanks for God's blessings in allowing us to develop drip-irrigation and water desalinization from the Sea. But we pray for grace to ask and depend upon Him to give us the rains we need in season (Zechariah 10:1).
*For hearts in Israel which are drawn to fear the Lord and long for His kindness. Psalm 33:14: "Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who yearn for His loving-kindness, to deliver them from death-and to keep them alive in famine."
THIS WEEK'S PARASHAH:
From ancient times there has been a weekly portion (Parashah) from the first five books of Moses (The Torah) and an ending (Haftarah) from the Prophets read on the Sabbath in synagogues around the world. This portion is given a Hebrew name drawn from the opening words of the Torah passage. An illustration of this practice appears to have been recorded in Luke 4:16 where Yeshua (Jesus) arrived in the synagogue in Nazareth and was asked to read the portion (Isaiah 61) from the Prophets. We have found that in perusing these weekly readings, not only are we provided opportunity to identify in the context of God's Word with millions of Jewish people around the world, but very often the Holy Spirit will illumine specific passages pertinent that week in our intercession for the Land and people of Israel. All texts are those of English translations of the Scriptures.
The readings this week 7-13 September are called Ki-Tavo-"When you Come In":

TORAH
*Deuteronomy 26:1-11. Principle of "First Fruits" "And it shall be, when you come into the land which YHVH your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that YHVH your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where YHVH your God chooses to make His name abide. 'I declare today to YHVH your God that I have come to the country which YHVH swore to our fathers to give us.and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O YHVH have given to me.' Then you shall set it before YHVH your God, and worship before YHVH your God. So you shall rejoice in every good thing which YHVH your God has given to you and your house, you and the levite and the stranger who is among you."
*Deuteronomy 27-28. In these chapters Israel is given further instructions to those of Deuteronomy 11:29-32. Upon entering the land, she must travel to the two mountains outside Shechem (Modern-day Nablus). This was near to the place where God appeared to and spoke with Abram when first he entered Canaan (Genesis 12:7). Israel must now return there and verbalize what actions will bring Israel blessing in the Land-and those which will result in curses. Curses for specific sins are listed in 27:14-26. Then come the promises of blessings for obedience to God's commandments in 28:1-15. The curses for disobedience begin in 28:15 and continue through verse 68. This is one of the most terrifying passages in the Bible; by choosing to be outside of God's protection, one opens one's self to horrors-"Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies." (vs. 47). Tragically, much of the history of Israel may be traced in her choosing to walk out from beneath the "joy and gladness and abundance" offered her )eventually turning down the epitome and very source of these Blessings in the rejection of her Messiah), and wandering for centuries in the nations. Yet there is an "everlasting love" which has "kept watch" over the centuries of her wanderings, continuing to "draw her in loving kindness" (Jer. 31:3), even as she labored under that curse. We believe there are many signs that those years are drawing to an end. This week's Haftarah from Isaiah 60 portends her awakening, an awakening which heralds light and hope to the gentile nations as well!
*Deuteronomy 27:15-26. "And all the people shall answer and say, 'AMEN!'
Twelve times the people are called to say this word. Its meaning is much deeper than a mere 'period' at the end of a prayer. In Hebrew "amen" is made up of three letters which happen also to form the root for the Hebrew words for faith, faithfulness, belief, and to believe. To say "Amen!" means, "I have faith in this"; "I believe this to be true" (Emet, the word for "truth" is itself etymologically related to this root). Believing God's pronouncements regarding the sins listed in these verses, and affirming them to be true would bring life to those who obediently spoke them out. "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10).
HAFTARAH
*Isaiah 60:14. "Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you, and all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of YHVH, Zion of the Holy One of Israel" (Emphases ours).
It is significant that the most virulent of Israel's present enemies refuse to utilize the name "Israel," a name given by God to Jacob (the offspring of Abraham's covenant-son Isaac) and his descendants. Rather than Israel, they choose to utilize in a derisive way the name Zion ("the Zionist entity"). Neither will the deity they serve allow them to call on the name of the LORD (YHVH, Yehovah). This passage reveals that one day they will have discerned the light of Truth-and bow to the Holy One over all the earth, who chose to eternally associate himself with the three names they despised-Yehovah, Zion and Israel.
*Isaiah 60:18-20. "Violence (Hebrew: hamas) shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Yeshu'ah (Salvation) and your gates Tehi'lah (Praise). The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended."
"'For I,' says the LORD, 'will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst'" (Zechariah 2:5).
*Isaiah 60:21. "Also your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified."
It is righteousness that exalts a nation. The final securing of Israel's inheritance back in the Land is their having come into that righteousness.
"He made Him who knew no sin, to be sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (II Cor. 5:21).

1. SEEING "THE BEGINNING OF THE END" IN EUROPE?
"Hear the word of YHVH, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him, and guard over him as a shepherd does his flock.' For YHVH has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than her. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of YHVH" (Jeremiah 31:10-12).
" 'YHVH lives! who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. 'Behold, I will send for many fishermen,' says YHVH, 'and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. For My eyes are on all their ways." (Jeremiah 16:15-17).
In a recent article in the UK's oldest Jewish newspaper The Jewish Chronicle, Natan Sharansky voiced his belief that "we are seeing the beginning of the end of Jewish history in Europe." According to the former refusenik and present Jewish Agency chairman,
"Europe is abandoning its basic values of respecting identities while at the same time guaranteeing full freedom for its citizens.On the one hand, Europe opens its gates to immigration, to people who are not asked to share its values of freedom and tolerance. And on the other hand Europeans are rushing back toward the right-wing parties who are hostile to 'the other.' Then there is the intellectual atmosphere which asks Jews to choose between their loyalty to Israel and their loyalty to Europe. All this creates an impossible situation for Jews" ("Jewish Agency chairman responds in part o the rising wave of anti-Semitism crashing over the continent.": JPOST.com; 14/08/2014 15:56).
All of these factors appear to have been verified by the manifestations of anti-Jewish vitriol erupting across the continent on the occasion of Israel's recent 50-day battle with Hamas. From huge violent public demonstrations in London, Berlin and Paris, to a mock medieval-style public "execution" by hanging of Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu and former President Peres in the town square of an eastern Hungarian town (presided over by the town Mayor who ended his speech by grinding an "Israeli flag" into the dust with his heel); to a Spanish imam's anti-Semitic rant describing Jewish people as treacherous, war-mongering killers, and calling on Allah to "destroy the plundering Jews.do not spare a single one of them"-these all served to suggest that in large areas of Europe, a latent hostility towards the seed of Jacob is already in place and spreading-awaiting only a certain catalyst to bring it out into the open. Yesterday French Prime Minister Manuel Valls warned that with beleaguered President Francois Hollande's popularity at an all-time low, "In France, the extreme right of Marine Le Pen is at the gates of power." Le Pen is daughter of French politician Jean-Marie Le Pen whose xenophobia and anti-Semitism are legendary. Although she has sought to distance herself from her father's policies, her rapid rise to popularity at the helm of the far right has been viewed by many with great unease. Polls yesterday suggested a strong possibility that she might win, were an election for President to be held today.
This week it was announced that for the first time France has become the country with the highest number of Jews making aliyah (immigrating to Israel). Citing as stimulus, besides economic difficulties, a "climate of anti-Semitism that is losing its taboo," Jewish Agency head for France Ariel Kandel expects 6,000 new immigrants to arrive in Israel from France during 2014. At 500,000, the Jewish population in France is the largest in Europe, and this constitutes about 1% of that population. (France is also now home to the continent's largest-around 5,000,000-Muslim community.) "In the Western or free world," commented Kandel, "we've never seen one percent of the Jewish community immigrating to Israel," ("Jewish World: Anti=-Semitism drives largest ever French immigration to Israel": ynetnews.com, 5 Sept 14, 23:22).
Thank God that there is a strong acts to identify and come against the anti-Semitic trend in Europe. On Saturday German Chancellor Angela Merkel vowed to do everything within her power to fight anti-Semitism in Germany. She deplored the fact that Jewish institutions in Germany are still in need of police protection, and called for a big turnout at a rally against anti-Semitism which she will be addressing next weekend in Berlin. There have also been counter-demonstrations in Paris, London and other cities.
Yet, the growing general view appears to follow the opinion verbalized by European Congress president Moshe Kanto last April in Tel Aviv-that unless the fear in which Jews live can be substantially mitigated, "normative Jewish life in Europe is unsustainable"-that "Jews do not feel safe or secure in certain communities in Europe" anymore. Reports released last fall suggest that already almost a third of Jews living in several European countries are presently mulling emigration ("Jewish Agency chairman responds.").
PLEASE PRAY:
*That God would visit His covenant people in the Diaspora (lands outside of Israel to which their forefathers were scattered). That they would hear and listen to the call in their hearts to "return to the LORD and obey His voice" in order that their God will "bring them back from captivity, and have compassion on them, gather them again from all the nations where YHVH their God has scattered them"-there, to "circumcise their hearts and the hearts of their descendants to love YHVH their God with all their hearts and with all their souls, that they may Live!" (Deut. 30:2-6).
*For anointing among Messianic Jews in Europe to share with their Jewish brothers and sisters the message of the Lamb of God who carries away the sin of the world. Pray that the veil be removed from Jewish eyes to know their God and the name of His Son (Prov. 30:4) their Messiah, Savior and Brother.
*For believers in Europe to have revelation how to pray into the redemptive purposes of their nations-that those which are wavering in their regard for the people and nation of Israel would not turn against her.
*For Gentile Believers in certain parts of Europe where it will become necessary to provide temporary havens for Jews fleeing persecution-that they will hear clearly and follow the Lord's instructions in making the necessary preparations.
*That Jews in Europe will respond to the "fishermen" sent by God to draw them back to their Land-and not wait for the "hunters" (Jeremiah 16:17).
*For the thousands of French Jews pouring into Israel-that they will be absorbed quickly into the community there, take root and survive in God's grace. The first few years can be very difficult, especially for those older ones who cannot quickly learn the language or find jobs like what they had in their native lands. Pray for them to be given new clean Hearts, a living Hope, redemption, a New Covenant with their God in His Son (Ezekiel 36:24-29; Jeremiah 31:11, 17, 31).
2. RAIN.
"But the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of YHVH your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year" (Deuteronomy 11:11-12).
Rain has from the beginning been a sign of God's favor and blessing upon Israel (Deut. 28:12; from this week's Torah Portion). A lack of it (I Kings 8:35-36) generally is a call for Israel to take account of his ways, and to turn towards and call upon his maker and Lord. Last year Israel received less rain than she has in decades. There was a freak snowstorm in December, and a few sporadic showers-but for both the Former and Latter (Fall & Spring) rainy seasons, it should have been classed as a major disaster. So why wasn't it even in the news? Why weren't Israelis placed on water rationing as in the past? Inspiration and Earthquake Prophecy by Seer Timothy Snodgrass
Account of Angelic Visitation on December 16, 2011
"On December 16, 2011 I was taken in the Spirit and saw a white star falling to the earth, with myriads of heavenly angels flying behind the star carrying great authority. When the star touched the earth, there was no sound, no explosion, for the white star was one of God’s heavenly generals. With one foot upon a mountain in Japan, and the other foot upon the sea, the angel lifted up a sword with his right hand and said, “Fear not! Great waves of God’s glory and great waves of God’s judgment are now at hand. Only those walking in His Presence shall stand!”.
"Suddenly I was taken in the Spirit high above the Pacific Ocean from the elevation of a satellite, and I could see all of Asia, Australia, North America and the islands the sea. When my eyes focused on Japan, I saw what appeared to be white ripples covering a large portion of the sea off the Japanese coast. When I began to understand the magnitude of the great earthquake I was seeing, all strength left me and I began to cry out to God for mercy the inhabitants of the coastlands. But the angel of the Lord spoke again, “Fear not! Great waves of God‘s glory and Great waves of God‘s judgment are now at hand. Only those walking in His Presence shall stand!”.
"I am currently in the middle of a 40-day Daniel Fast (fruits, vegetables). The chief purpose of my fast is not health, finances or any worldly thing, but for more of the Presence of God. When I was in Japan on March 11 during the great 9.0 quake, my only worldly possessions were a package of Ritz crackers and a bottle of water (which the Lord instructed me to give away). Money was useless in Japan on March 11. When I gave away all of my worldly possessions, two things happened: First, the Presence of God enfolded me like a warm blanket as I slept on the cold tarmac on the Narita Airport. Secondly, God’s provision was released when suddenly soldiers entered the area carrying boxes of Ritz crackers and bottled water, which they handed to all of those huddled in the evacuation center or sleeping outside under the stars in the chilly night air, as the ground continued to shake for three days. If I had chosen to cling to my worldly possessions in Japan, there would have been no miracle of multiplication of food and water, and I would have been stranded in Japan without the Presence of God.
"This morning, after receiving confirmation that a second great quake is approaching in the nation of Japan, I began giving away all of my worldly possessions to the poor. Even the mangos that I had hidden away to eat for dinner I gave this afternoon to a family living on the street. As I prepare to embark on another intercessory journey to Japan, my only prayer is that I would travel with the Lord‘s Presence sitting next to me, and that the people of Japan would be touched by His glory from the time my plane touches down, until the time the Lord returns. I do not know how much the magnitude of this coming quake can be brought down through prayer, but I do know that nothing is impossible with God. Account of Angelic Visitation on December 16, 2011
"On December 16, 2011 I was taken in the Spirit and saw a white star falling to the earth, with myriads of heavenly angels flying behind the star carrying great authority. When the star touched the earth, there was no sound, no explosion, for the white star was one of God’s heavenly generals. With one foot upon a mountain in Japan, and the other foot upon the sea, the angel lifted up a sword with his right hand and said, “Fear not! Great waves of God’s glory and great waves of God’s judgment are now at hand. Only those walking in His Presence shall stand!”.
"Suddenly I was taken in the Spirit high above the Pacific Ocean from the elevation of a satellite, and I could see all of Asia, Australia, North America and the islands the sea. When my eyes focused on Japan, I saw what appeared to be white ripples covering a large portion of the sea off the Japanese coast. When I began to understand the magnitude of the great earthquake I was seeing, all strength left me and I began to cry out to God for mercy the inhabitants of the coastlands. But the angel of the Lord spoke again, “Fear not! Great waves of God‘s glory and Great waves of God‘s judgment are now at hand. Only those walking in His Presence shall stand!”.
"I am currently in the middle of a 40-day Daniel Fast (fruits, vegetables). The chief purpose of my fast is not health, finances or any worldly thing, but for more of the Presence of God. When I was in Japan on March 11 during the great 9.0 quake, my only worldly possessions were a package of Ritz crackers and a bottle of water (which the Lord instructed me to give away). Money was useless in Japan on March 11. When I gave away all of my worldly possessions, two things happened: First, the Presence of God enfolded me like a warm blanket as I slept on the cold tarmac on the Narita Airport. Secondly, God’s provision was released when suddenly soldiers entered the area carrying boxes of Ritz crackers and bottled water, which they handed to all of those huddled in the evacuation center or sleeping outside under the stars in the chilly night air, as the ground continued to shake for three days. If I had chosen to cling to my worldly possessions in Japan, there would have been no miracle of multiplication of food and water, and I would have been stranded in Japan without the Presence of God.
"This morning, after receiving confirmation that a second great quake is approaching in the nation of Japan, I began giving away all of my worldly possessions to the poor. Even the mangos that I had hidden away to eat for dinner I gave this afternoon to a family living on the street. As I prepare to embark on another intercessory journey to Japan, my only prayer is that I would travel with the Lord‘s Presence sitting next to me, and that the people of Japan would be touched by His glory from the time my plane touches down, until the time the Lord returns. I do not know how much the magnitude of this coming quake can be brought down through prayer, but I do know that nothing is impossible with God. This fall, the second of four blood moon eclipses will occur the evening of Oct. 8, coinciding with the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as Sukkot. A partial solar eclipse will take place two weeks later. Two more blood moons will follow on Passover in the spring of 2015 and on the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall 2015.

Angel Parable Word From Gary Beaton

In 2001, I had an Angelic Visitation in the night by an Angel named “Parable”. Although Angels don’t have gender, there was a feminine sense about her, much like the Spirit of Wisdom in Proverbs 8.
When Parable first came to me, I was surprised by the mystique that came from her. She wore a silvery hooded garment and a long flowing robe. I couldn’t see her face well, except that her eyes were full of fire and intensity. I believe the hood that shrouded her was meant to reveal the seriousness of her assignments. She held a silver trumpet in her right hand and I understood that she was sent as a messenger from the Throne to release the proclamations of upcoming events in America and the world.
Although she was mysterious and fierce, I understood that she came with the ultimate intent to release shakings and sweeping change for our good and one that would ultimately restore America and nations for the sake of the Harvest. In the first visitation, she conveyed to me that she was sent to speak through Parables for those that have ears to hear and eyes to see. Life events are often Parables to speak to us about our condition and our need for intervention that will rescue us through prayer and a genuine heart-change from godly sorrow.
Parable is sent to the Church first, so that we may understand that in our Priestly roles, we are called to weep between the porch and the altar to stand in the gap. Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet. Ezekiel came in a similar fashion. We must stand in the gap to save this land.
Ezekiel 22:30 “I looked for someone to stand up for me against all this, to repair the defenses of the city, to take a stand for me and stand in the gap to protect this land so I wouldn’t have to destroy it. I couldn’t find anyone. Not one. So I’ll empty out my wrath on them, burn them to a crisp with my hot anger, serve them with the consequences of all they’ve done. Decree of God, the Master.”
Parable visited me again in 2005 and 2008. She was sent again to me this last week. I wasn’t allowed to speak of her until now, but the Lord has released me to begin telling about her since this latest visitation. In the past, when she would be released to blow her trumpet, defined shaking events took place that acted as an alarm in hopes that America and the sleeping church would awaken and the people of America would respond. Parable has come again and she is about to blow her trumpet signaling events that will release thundering power and lightning from the Throne. I am not saying that Parable is the angel in Revelation 10, but the wording gives us insight through John’s phrasing.
Revelation 10:1-7 “Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. He had a little scroll open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land, and called out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. When he called out, the seven thunders sounded.And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.” And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”
It sounds strange and mysterious, yet we are living in the days of the actual Book of Revelation and we need to ask for wisdom and insight about the book itself and the times we are in so we can move forward effectively. It is in peace and confidence that we gaze into the face of our Savior and Eternal King.
Last week’s visitation was one of the most sobering Angelic visitations I have ever had. I understood that Parable was leading an angelic army to bring a move of God through wisdom that will shake the earth in many places. It will ultimately release apostolic awakenings in the earth that will thrust the “called out ones” into their assignments in provision and power. The intentions from the Father are only good in terms of America, the Harvest of Souls and the Re-forming of the Church as we know it.
Daniel 11:32 “… the people that do know their God shall be mighty, and do exploits.”
Those that are secure in their walk with God will be like the Israelites in Egypt during the plagues, for they ultimately came out of bondage with the plunder. They are headed for the Promises of God to usher in the Kingdom of God into the earth in Thundering Power.
This next move of God will ultimately become a tsunami of dunamis authority operating through a people that will hear the sound and corporately move to recover all as David did at Ziglag. King David’s family had been taken captive and he inquired of the Lord. The Lord told him to go and that he would recover all. It was a fierce battle, but they came out with complete victory in re-capturing the most precious thing that had been stolen. America and the original Republic it was founded on have been stolen and a call is being sent out to inquire of the Lord concerning their recovery. He intends that we would go into a spiritual battle of prayer and that despite what things will look like, we will recover all and the Republic of America will be recovered for the Glory of God.
1 Samuel 30:8 “…David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Just after I spoke at Bob Jones’ Memorial, I was in Atlanta leading a series of corporate meetings on a scale of love and unity I had never experienced before. In one of the meetings, the presence of God manifested in such a remarkable way that we spent hours in the Glory together. It was indescribable. After 4 hours, the weight of God’s Holiness manifested in the room like a cloud and brought a deafening silence upon everyone. For an hour, we were all frozen in our seats under the weight of His reverential, majestic presence. You could hear a pin drop, afraid to utter a sound.
As I was waiting in the stillness, I had the veil pulled back and was taken into an open vision. I saw a map of America and then watched as an American flag was draped across it. As I kept watching, the flag was folded in military fashion for a fallen soldier and laid across the Northeast and the Eastern Seaboard. Then I also watched as two of the tri-folded flags were laid upon each other up and down like the Star of David across the entire US from sea to sea.
The events that are coming are also directly related to Israel. Angels like Parable also play a great role in Israel’s future because it is the eternal timepiece in the earth.
Hebrews 12:22-29 “For you have come to Mount Zion and unto the City of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Able. See that you refuse not him who speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape, if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven: whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying Yet once more I shall not shake the earth only, but heaven. And this word, Yet once more signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which can be shaken will be shaken. Wherefore, we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved, let us have grace, where we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear, for our God is a consuming fire."
The visitation from the Angel Parable, combined with the vision of the American flag during a holy moment in stillness, sends a clear message that the Lord is revealing a warning of what is coming from a loud trumpet call about to be released, most likely very soon. It is one that cannot be halted because it is coming in a defining moment in history to affect the change needed on God’s timetable to save and restore this nation.
The Lord made it clear to me that the military flag being laid out across America does not speak of total doom and destruction of this nation. Rather, it is a somber signal that the “old glory” of the America we have always loved is being laid to rest so that resurrection can come to the Republic through a cleansing of the corruption and darkness that are about to overtake us. We ultimately will enter a season of New Glory unto salvation, joy and Harvest.
Jeremiah 6:16 “…Thus says the Lord, Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls.”
Restoration can only take place by removing the old… what has been eaten away by weather, termites and left in ill-repair. Once the old has been removed in the restoration process of a house, then the new can come in and the home can be returned to its former grandeur. This will take place, but only by the cleansing process of repairing the old foundations and rebuilding with a new Plumb-Line of accuracy.
During the vision of the draping of the flag across America, I clearly heard two songs. One was the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and the other was “American Pie” by Don McLean. If you listen carefully to these two separate anthems concerning America, one is true and one is false. The true one is the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Read the words of both songs together and you will see the battle being waged between Light and Darkness over this contested territory. When I heard “American Pie” in the vision, I understood that it was about a jester’s voice laughing that the Spirit of God had left America and that the enemy was claiming full dominion.
Instead, the Lord was saying in the vision, that it was “American Pi”… meaning we have come full circle as a nation and we are at a place of either total failure or new beginnings. I know that God intends New Beginnings and we must rise up and contend like David, who put on the priestly Ephod to inquire for Heavenly council. Intense prayer and weeping intervention will move the Holy Spirit to help us be like the men of Issachar who understood the times and knew what to do.
In terms of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, the entire song is about what we are about to enter as Believers in this nation.
“Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored. He has loosed His fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword, His truth is marching on. Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.
He has sounded forth the Trumpet that shall never call retreat, He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat, Oh, be swift my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet, Our God is marching on!”
The trumpet of Parable is a war cry, just as the trumpets took down the walls of Jericho. In the end, God is going to restore the Republic. Yet through the process I believe we are going to endure severe things that willshake us. We have been given a foreshadow in the past 14 years with 9/11, Katrina and the financial crash in2008, but we will now begin to experience a greater wave of dramatic trials we have not been expectingbecause there was never a true heart change in the nation or a clear grasp of the brevity of the hour we are in.Darkness has only manifested more in the time we were granted to truly change. Yet, we are a people founded on the true Rock and we have been given a maturing strength to overcomeadversity and strengthen others through the same process of sifting. At the same time of shaking, we will soonsee a huge release of apostolic power to bring the Awakening of the Ages, combined with unparalleledresources and financial provision for the Kingdom.
There is a passing of the old guard in church leadership on many fronts and there will also come a changing of the guard in governmental leadership at the highest levels of this nation.
Now that Parable has returned, we are about to hear the true Trumpet sound and know that it is from Heaven. What will come in the natural will be a shaking on a level we have never seen before, much like birth pangs, for all of creation is groaning, waiting for the sons of God to be revealed. Those that are pure and have been qualified through the sanctification process will emerge in the Power of the Spirit in Humility, Love, Purity, Wisdom and Authority. We will soon witness the early and latter rain combined to release the final moves of God in the earth in ways we have never seen.
This is the defining scripture that needs to be read carefully:
Hebrews 12:18-29 "For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake.But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.See that ye refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.” And this word, yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear, for our God is a consuming fire.”
Nahum 1:6-7 “Who can stand before his indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like fire and the rocks are thrown down by him. Yet, the Lord is good and a stronghold in the day of trouble. He knows who trusts in him.”
There is much more to share about the Angel Parable and insight on future events that I will release in the days ahead. In the meantime, be aware of hearing the true sound being released from Heaven in its fullness from the Spirit of Discernment. Many have watered down the Gospel, candy-coated the message and have eliminated the Cross as well. It is a time to see our true national condition and ask the Lord to search us, remove any blinders and give us genuine humility to forgive and cleanse us.
The 5 wise virgins will keep their lamps trimmed and filled. There will also come a sharp dividing line drawn between those who have a true passion for the things of God and those that are asleep. Those lulled into slumber will soon have a great wake-up call. The goal is win a harvest of lost souls for eternity. Where are the Davids and the Esthers?
Philippians 2:12 “Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
When the Parable’s Trumpet sounds, we will all hear a call to action. I feel that what will manifest in the natural will be an attack or a series of natural disasters that will cause major outages and even affect the land and water. In the days of Israel’s past like in Isaiah 9:10, as Johnathan Cahn wrote about in his book “The Harbinger”, the Lord lifts his hand of protection over a nation because of their steadfast defiance against Him. When it comes, we must move with intent and be about our Father’s business. I encourage us all to buy gold refined in the fire and salve for our eyes to see. It is time to rend our hearts and keep them tender for the sake of the Cross.

It’s good to be able to come to you again. It’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to really sit down and do this and it’s a privilege and an opportunity to serve the Lord and to serve you as well. I want to share something briefly with a promise to you too that there are some other things I will share over the next few weeks.
This one happened actually October 3rd. I was alone with the Lord and saw with my open eyes someone move near me. Having seen that with my open eyes, I knew someone was there but I couldn’t tell who they were. So as I waited, it became clear to me in the spirit that the Lord was standing in the room, but He was dressed as a warrior in battle armor in a particular way that I can’t remember seeing before. He then spoke to me several important things. The first of which was that He had come down. That is the phrase He used. When He spoke those words, that He had come down, He reminded me of four passages in the Scripture that point to this reality, some where it is directly said, others where it is obvious from the context.
The first one He brought to me was the Biblical story in Genesis of the Tower of Babel where He came down. And in that coming, it was not as though God, being all knowing and all seeing, could not see what was going on. His coming down was, in that instance, a certainty of a judgment that was coming on the peoples. The Lord said to me directly in this encounter that the enemy is rallying the peoples of the world unto a purpose that leaves God completely out of their lives. And like in the time of Babel and the building of the Tower, God came down in judgment on what they were building and upon their purpose, confused their language, and stopped their building. And so that was dealing particularly with the people of that time.
Secondly the Lord brought to me again the Biblical story of the flood, how in that day there was violence throughout the earth and every man was doing what was right in his own eyes. And the Lord came down and—again for judgment purposes—was manifested in the flood. We all know what the Scripture says very clearly, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of Man.” So the second instance was the flood and God’s coming and seeing the wickedness and the violence of every man doing what was right in his own eyes, which shows a complete lack of regard for the Lord and His purposes.
Thirdly was the Lord coming in the days of Abraham concerning Sodom and Gomorrah and Abraham’s intercession for those cities, which I think is a component of why the Lord brought this up to me as well. We know this was dealing particularly with the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the homosexual issue. Well, here we are again, to the point where what is evil is being called good and what is good is being called evil. I’m speaking directly about homosexuality. You know God is not, nor am I, against the homosexuals, but that homosexuality is sin and it is destructive and it is directly against the will and the purpose of God. I believe there’s going to be a move of God among homosexuals, and a fairly large number of them, at least in our nation, is going to come to the Lord. I’m praying for that. So I want to be clear in my remarks: like all other sins, sin is sin and homosexuality is a sin, and that’s how God defines it. And I knew when the Lord brought this up to me in the encounter that He was relating this to the homosexuals, relating it to this time in history, in our nation particularly, where everything is being legalized. There is no fear of God, no desire for the Lord’s intent and purposes. An attitude that it doesn’t matter what the Lord says, man is doing what’s right in his own eyes and resonating that way. What is our stand in this? Well our stand is before the Lord first and foremost, like Abraham who said if there are ten righteous people, will you spare it? God would have us in intercession for people, including the homosexuals—not against the homosexuals, but for the homosexuals—for them to come to the Lord and be free from this destructive lifestyle.
And lastly, God brought up to me the fourth and final point concerning His coming down to Moses at Sinai and the burning bush story. This was for the deliverance of His own people. I believe that deliverance is particularly referencing first an internal deliverance of us. I’ve been saying this and I want to say it again, we’re in a time when the Lord would baptize us in a baptism of repentance. This is not going back and getting forgiveness of sins that are already forgiven, that’s not my point. It is however actively dealing with sin that is in the present in our lives. No covering it up, no making excuses, but confessing and repenting. But it’s even deeper than that, it’s on a larger scale than that. Repenting for the lost testimony of the Lord Jesus. Repenting for there not being a people of His name. Repenting for His name being blasphemed in the earth because of us. Repenting for the lost fear of the Lord. Repenting for the glory of God missing from our midst. So I want to say to us there is a deep work that God desires to do within all of us, a deeper work, deeper than simple salvation. It is a deep work, making us ready into a Bride. He desires that. So he’s coming as a deliverer unto His people to lead a people out, and I believe that it’s going to be a remnant. I know that’s not the will of God, I’m simply saying this to us, there will be a remnant who responds wholeheartedly to the Lord in this. Does that mean me and others who are saved will not be saved? No. I’m saying this, that to come into the full, eternal purpose of God (which is not dealing with salvation) demands a relationship that God had eternally in His divine thought. That’s not a salvific relationship, it’s a bridal relationship. And so, God is coming fourthly as a deliverer of His people to lead His people out. I know that there will be other contexts of this as well. And what I’m saying is not only an internal work, yes it always begins there, but there will be an external work of deliverance of the Lord as well.
So let me say this to us again in brief. God has come down, and I cannot overemphasize that point. He made known to me that it began in April (2014), and He correlated it to the blood moon which is happening this month as well. He said to me that one of the signs of the blood moon of this month is the fact of His coming down, although I believe there are other signs in the blood moon as well. But one sign is that He would be in the earth is this role of “coming down” and going to very specific cities and nations throughout the earth, including our own, and he’ll be in the earth in this role until the next blood moon in October. He told me that He was coming to our nation first, and I believe that from the first few weeks of April he will be in the United States visiting some very specific cities. And then He will also be going to other nations, including Israel and the city of Jerusalem. I know this because of His appearance as a warrior with His sword drawn. He put the trumpet which was in his left hand to His mouth and commanded me to speak what I’m speaking to you now to make this known. I believe others will have had this same type of encounter and it will be confirming to them of what God is saying. The Lord is going to be here, and it is a prelude, as it is in the scripture, to judgment. The Lord was very clear with me that the time of delay is over. I’ve known that for a while, others of us have, that the time of delay is over, but we’ve been waiting for a beginning. There’s been almost an interlude between the time of delay being over and the beginning. His coming down is a beginning.
From this year to next year, and with the blood moons that are here, we’re going to see in the economy and in governments, both in the US and worldwide, that great shaking is going to begin. All will not be completed in 2014 and 2015, I want to be very clear. All will not be completed. There will be a beginning. How bad will that beginning be? Well, we will see. But the full impact of these things is over the next several years, not just 2 years. However, I was told directly by the Angel Gabriel back some time again that 2014 and 2015 are a season of transition years. That transition is in economics and government particularly.
So I wanted to get this to you so that you, like myself, could both hear and begin to pray even more specifically. God has come down. There is also a positive side to this. I don’t mean that I look at anything God’s doing as negative—He has redemption in His purpose—but I mean the positive in this sense: God would do among us all that is needed if we would put our trust fully in Him and turn fully to him and allow him to purge us of half-heartedness and grant us wholeheartedness. God would do what is needed in this time, all that is needed in this time and more, if we would fully give ourselves to Him. So let me encourage us in this, to fully give ourselves to the Lord, to fully commit ourselves to the Lord, and to allow Him to do all that is in His heart. These are unprecedented times, and will be unprecedented times as we move forward. God will do the unprecedented spiritually. We can trust Him in that, brothers and sisters. And I want to encourage you in that. Believe God even now for the unprecedented. Allow God to prepare us, to make us ready. Repent of sin if you’ve committed it. Confess your sins one to another that we may be healed. Put your trust fully in the Lord. That’s a part of what He’s after, a people who will be completely His, a people made ready. A vessel ready in these times. So may this encourage our hearts, challenge our hearts, and awaken out hearts all at the same time.

The Lord is on the move and will be on the move. Listen, brothers and sisters, we can see the end of all things in our generation if we will allow ourselves to be made ready and make ourselves ready. THE LORD HAS COME DOWN

It’s good to be able to come to you again. It’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to really sit down and do this and it’s a privilege and an opportunity to serve the Lord and to serve you as well. I want to share something briefly with a promise to you too that there are some other things I will share over the next few weeks.
This one happened actually October 3rd. I was alone with the Lord and saw with my open eyes someone move near me. Having seen that with my open eyes, I knew someone was there but I couldn’t tell who they were. So as I waited, it became clear to me in the spirit that the Lord was standing in the room, but He was dressed as a warrior in battle armor in a particular way that I can’t remember seeing before. He then spoke to me several important things. The first of which was that He had come down. That is the phrase He used. When He spoke those words, that He had come down, He reminded me of four passages in the Scripture that point to this reality, some where it is directly said, others where it is obvious from the context.
The first one He brought to me was the Biblical story in Genesis of the Tower of Babel where He came down. And in that coming, it was not as though God, being all knowing and all seeing, could not see what was going on. His coming down was, in that instance, a certainty of a judgment that was coming on the peoples. The Lord said to me directly in this encounter that the enemy is rallying the peoples of the world unto a purpose that leaves God completely out of their lives. And like in the time of Babel and the building of the Tower, God came down in judgment on what they were building and upon their purpose, confused their language, and stopped their building. And so that was dealing particularly with the people of that time.
Secondly the Lord brought to me again the Biblical story of the flood, how in that day there was violence throughout the earth and every man was doing what was right in his own eyes. And the Lord came down and—again for judgment purposes—was manifested in the flood. We all know what the Scripture says very clearly, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of Man.” So the second instance was the flood and God’s coming and seeing the wickedness and the violence of every man doing what was right in his own eyes, which shows a complete lack of regard for the Lord and His purposes.

The Road From Asia to Jerusalem
It was more than ten years ago that the Lord first began speaking to me about the role of the Chinese in His end-time global purposes.
I was invited by Pastor Ernest Chan, a well-known American Chinese leader, to speak at a large conference he was hosting in Los Angeles in July 2001. Many Chinese believers would be attending from all over the world. I was seeking the Lord about what to share in the meeting when He asked me a question.
“What hinders My kingdom from being established in the Middle East, David?”
Having been born and raised in Egypt, a Muslim nation, I knew very well.
“It’s the fear of persecution and the fear of death,” I answered.
“Yes, but I have a prepared a people,” He continued, “a remnant of My body who have no fear of persecution or death. It is the Chinese people and they will have a very special role to play in seeing the end-time destiny of the Jews and the Arabs being released.”
I was stunned by this revelation. My heart has always been for my people, the Arabs, and through my journey in Canada, God had also given me a heart for the Jewish people. But I had never seen any connection between this and the Chinese.
When I shared what the Lord had revealed to me in the meeting that night, the presence of God came in an unusual way. It was as if we were all captured in a divine moment of sovereign revelation. In fact, Ernest was so stirred that he immediately encouraged the people to sow into printing one million CDs of this message, to be shared throughout the Chinese world. On the spot, all the money was raised.
But when we went to the professional company who was producing the CDs of the conference, the recording of my sharing was completely blank! All you could hear was my voice praying at the beginning, then silence throughout my message until I came to the closing prayer. As soon as I said “Amen” the recording began again.
We assumed it was an equipment malfunction, so my friend and pastor Gideon Chiu, who had been videotaping the meeting on his camcorder, suggested we could take the audio from his tape. But when we looked at the tape it was the exactly the same story: just as I began my message, the tape went blank and the recording never resumed until just after I finished.
My first thought was that this was warfare from the enemy. But then the Lord spoke to me clearly saying, “It is not the time for this message to go wider yet, David.”
So I left this conference knowing there was something profound about the destiny of the Chinese, but I wasn’t sure what, where or when the next step would be. A few months later, Pastor Ernest invited me to join him for some meetings he was having in Asia that November. I prayed and I felt the Lord said to go. Before this though, I was scheduled to speak in an international conference in Israel.
Then September 11th happened. The airline schedules were in chaos and all the new airport security measures were causing huge delays. It was not an easy time to be an Egyptian flying to Israel. So I asked the Lord if I should cancel my trip. But He answered that I must go because there was someone I was supposed to meet there.
At the conference I had many meetings with many people, but at no time did I get the clear sense “this is the person” I was supposed to meet. So I came home mystified.
A few days later, Pastor Ernest called, saying he had received a message from Taiwanese pastor who had just met me in Jerusalem and wanted me to speak in his church during the November trip.
Suddenly I remembered this man – he was supposed to leave back home before I arrived, but the post 9-11 airline problems had delayed his return by a couple of days. So he “happened” to be there while I was speaking. After my sharing he asked to meet with me, but because he didn’t speak English we had to communicate through a translator. When he told me he was from Taiwan, I mentioned I would be traveling there in November and he had asked if I would speak at a leaders meeting at his church. I didn’t think much of it – he seemed like a very nice man and I thought maybe he was the pastor of a small church who would like me to encourage his leadership.
“David, do you know who this man is?” Pastor Ernest continued. “Pastor Nathaniel Chow is the founder and apostolic overseer of a movement with more than one hundred daughter churches worldwide. He is one of the most respected and trusted leaders in Taiwan.” At that moment I realized the Lord was up to more than I could understand.
I will never forget this meeting in Taipei, which was a gathering of the movement’s leaders from all around the world. As I began to share about the destiny of the Chinese, suddenly my translator (who I later found out was Tony Tseng, the president of Good TV, the only 7×24 Chinese Christian TV station in the world) started weeping to the point he could no longer continue. The rest of those present were also so overcome that they came out of their chairs weeping and travailing and lay across the altar and the platform calling out for the destiny of the Chinese.
As I watched this scene unfold, the Lord spoke to me that the day would come when He would gather the Chinese people to worship and seek His face, waiting on Him for His steps to see the destiny of the Chinese fulfilled. And when they did, this would benefit not only the Chinese, but God’s end-time purposes for the Middle East and for the body of Christ globally.
The Journey Begins
I believe that we are now living in the days when the destiny of the Chinese is coming into collision with the timings of God. In 2009 the Lord opened the door for the first Chinese gathering in Vancouver, Canada during Rosh Hashanah. One thousand believers gathered to worship and wait on the Lord without man-made agenda or schedule. The Chinese are masters at planning and scheduling, but for this gathering they chose to lay aside these natural talents to allow His Spirit to completely direct the meetings. And the Lord honoured their obedience by His manifested presence. And He used this gathering as a seed to birth the first global gathering of the Chinese in Hong Kong in May 2010.
In the first Hong Kong gathering, the Lord focused on uniting the five thousand Chinese, attending from Asia and around the world, into one Body as a prophetic sign of His desire for the greater Chinese Church. As the remnant who attended obeyed and waited on the Lord together, He released a spirit of repentance that broke through traditional barriers between streams and nations and caused the hearts of all those present to be knit together as one true family. At the end of the gathering, all those present stood and declared prophetically, on behalf of the wider Chinese Body of Christ, “The Chinese are one family! The Chinese have come home! Back home to the Father!”
The next year, the Lord released another call for believers, from Asia and around the world, to gather in Hong Kong during the Feast of Pentecost, June 8-11, 2011. And He gave this promise from Jeremiah 32:39: “I will give them one heart and one way.” Twelve thousand believers from more than thirty nations responded to this call. During the gathering, the Lord challenged the Chinese to lay aside their own agendas and plans and surrender their lives unconditionally to Him. His desire was that this act of corporate surrender would become a seed through which He might restore the miracle of one accord (divine unity) into the Body of Christ worldwide, preparing the Bride for her end-time mandate and hastening the Lord’s return. As all those present stood and covenanted by faith, I believe a beachhead was established in the spirit realm for the sake of the body of Christ worldwide.
In 2012, fifteen thousand believers from many nations once again met in Hong Kong for the “Kingdom Come” gathering, August 1-4, 2012. Before God’s Kingdom can be established in the world, first He must secure His rule and reign over a remnant of His Body. And the Lord used the Chinese as a prophetic seed for the whole Body as they declared His Supreme Rule as King of kings and Lord of lords over His Bride, from every colour and tribe and nation. Then Chuck Pierce, standing on behalf of the Western Church leaders, presented a key, inscribed with Isaiah 22:22, to the leaders of the Mainland Chinese church. This was a prophetic symbol of the West acknowledging and affirming the role God is giving the Chinese to lead the next wave in the Church.
The Road to Jerusalem
If we look at the bigger picture of the Church since Christ came to earth, we know that its foundations were laid by the Jewish people – the twelve apostles and faithful early converts. There were no Gentiles in the Church at this time.
But when the Lord opened the door for the Gentiles, it brought the Church into a whole new dimension of our journey; the phase of taking the gospel literally from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. This phase, led primarily by the Western Church, has lasted almost two thousand years and was primarily evangelism and missions-oriented. But the next and final stage of the Church I believe will be the Church returning from the ends of the earth to Jerusalem and it will lead to an unprecedented outpouring of the Holy Spirit and world-impacting revival,
Many people speak about the “back to Jerusalem” movement and the Chinese Church has recognized this is a part of their destiny as a people. But what does this term “back to Jerusalem” actually mean? One view is that it’s about preaching the gospel in the Middle East. And there is truth in this as we will always have a mandate to preach the gospel everywhere we go and to see the lost saved.
But I think there is another angle that we may not have fully understood. I believe that the Lord is also entrusting the Chinese to lead the nations into the convergence of the end-time Kingdom. What do I mean by that? The Church worldwide is going to make its way “back to Jerusalem” in the spirit realm, reclaiming all the Lord originally intended His body to be. And through this journey, God will confront the principalities and powers that have kept the Church captive for centuries.
Shaking the Idols
The Kingdom of God was never meant to just be a teaching, it was meant to be the living reality of the Church. But in order for God to birth this unshakable Kingdom among and through the Body of Christ, first He must shake the kingdoms of this world and set the Church free from the powers that have defiled His name.
The financial meltdown that began on Rosh Hashanah 2008 and left the economies of many nations de-stabilized is a first sign of this shaking. God is determined to set His people free from the control of Mammon so that through the Church, He can birth a new economy based on His laws and principles. It will be the economy of the Josephs and the Daniels.
The increasing turmoil in the Middle East in the last few years is another major sign of the clash between kingdoms. Egypt is shaking and so are Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey to name a few. Why? Because these are the nations that were the birthing places of many ancient strongholds, the habitations of powerful spirits that are still ruling in the earth today. And God is looking to confront these spirits, like the spirit of the prince of Persia and the Babylonian system which, fueled by the power of human initiative, seeks to build a name for itself. And He will also confront the spirit of religion that we see warring over the land of Israel, as well as the gods of Egypt.
Some people think the gods of Egypt are long gone. But they didn’t vanish – they just took on new names in our modern culture: Freemasonry and the New Age. Both of these systems find their roots in Egypt. That’s why the Freemasons have adopted the obelisk, the pyramid, and the “all-seeing eye”. Have you ever wondered why many of the major financial centers of the world have an obelisk? It’s because the Freemasons took them from Egypt and erected them in these places so that they could exert spiritual control over all the financial systems of the world.
Now in our Western rational mindset we think, “What are you talking about? An obelisk is just a statue. What kind of power is in a statue?” Well, if you want to know the power, go back to I Samuel 5 when the Ark of the Covenant went into the temple of Philistines. There was a god in that temple in a statue form called Dagon. And when the Ark of the Covenant entered the temple of the Philistines that statue, Dagon, fell down. Why would a statue fall down if it’s just a rock? After all, a rock can’t think or see. So why did it fall down? It fell because there was a spirit inhabiting that statue and in the presence of God, there is no power that can stand. So down Dagon went, bowing before the Ark. The next day the Philistines found him and pushed him back up. But when they returned, what did they find? Dagon was not only bowed down, now he was broken too.
Isaiah 19 is a prophecy about Egypt and the end times. And the first line of that prophecy says that the Lord is coming on a swift cloud and the idols of Egypt will tremble. And the ancient “gods of Egypt”, these spirits that have tried to exercise their rule through governmental and financial authorities, are being shaken.
Establishing an Unshakeable Kingdom
But it is very important for us to remember that this battle, the clash of the kingdoms, is not something you and I can face on our own. This battle is the Lord’s and all we need to do is align ourselves behind the Commander-in-Chief. God is looking for a people, a remnant from throughout the nations, over whom He can reign and rule. And the Lord will use humble, broken people, who don’t care about their reputation, but only care about the Name of the Lord being honoured and the Kingdom of God being established. And through these people, He will confront these spirits.
That’s why I believe at this hour, the Lord is calling the Church to another standard because He wants to establish His Kingdom over our hearts. He wants to reign and rule in His Church. And for that to happen, we have to make the decision not to tolerate any more defilement in our lives. No more mixture in our hearts, no more mixture in our thoughts.
If you have been enduring a time of shaking in your life, don’t be discouraged. This is the preparation of the Lord for you. He is shaking you not to destroy you but to prepare you for the unshakable. So count it all joy and don’t look back. If you are alive in this hour, it is because the Lord has a purpose for you. You are called to be part of His overcoming Kingdom.
The V-Formation
And I believe that it is because of God’s plan to establish His overcoming kingdom that He has destined the Chinese to take the lead in this hour. The Chinese Church has been shaken, tested and tried, even to the point of death. Yet they have remained steadfast and faithful, unswerving in their absolute devotion and surrender to the King. And as they have embraced humility and brokenness for His sake, now the Lord is raising them up with an authority to birth a pure seed of the establishment of the Kingdom on behalf of the whole body of Christ.
But that doesn’t mean that the rest of us, especially those of us from the Western Church, can just sit back and watch them run. Often we have heard the moves of God described like a relay race; one runner finishes his leg and passes the baton on to the next. And this is a true picture when we are talking about one generation releasing the torch to the next generation as they pass away from the earth. But in the accelerated times in which we are living, we are not only seeing one move in a generation, we are seeing many. And so perhaps a better way of looking at these leadership transitions in the global body is to look at the V-formation that is common among the Canadian geese. A whole flock of geese fly together, but there is one goose which is positioned at the very front of the V, to take the full force of the wind resistance and make it easier for all those behind him. But of course, facing that wind is exhausting, so after a period of time the lead goose will move back into the formation while another goose will take his place at the head of the V.
And that’s how I see what God is doing right now with the Chinese. For a long time, the Western church has been positioned at the front of the V, leading the charge through many moves of God over centuries. And I believe the Lord is saying, “Western Church, you have done well and you have broken through again and again for the rest of the Church worldwide. But now I have specially prepared another part of My body, the Chinese, to take the lead for this leg of the journey. And they will have the faith and perseverance needed to stand strong in the face of the resistance that is coming.”
This kind of shift in leadership takes a certain amount of humility and grace from both parties. First, the Western Church, which have been used to leading for a very long time, has to be willing to acknowledge the hand of God upon the Chinese. And we have to understand that, though our position may be changing, that doesn’t mean that we can leave the flock. We need to remain in the formation, flying together, supporting the leadership of the Chinese. At the same time, the Chinese have to have the humility to honour what the Western Church has sown, because honoring the fathers, those who have gone before us, is what keeps us in the flow of continuous blessing of the Lord.
I have been genuinely touched to see how much God has deposited this heart to honour in the Chinese. When Chuck Pierce presented the key to the mainland Chinese leaders in August 2012, their response was to fall on their knees, thanking the Western Church for their sacrifice in sending missionaries, men like Hudson Taylor and thousands of others, who gave their lives to see God’s purposes being fulfilled among the Chinese. They also repented for their historic sins of rejecting, persecuting and even killing these missionaries. And then they declared something truly beautiful: “As God now gives us the privilege to lead, we will rise up and bring a fulfillment to everything the Western spiritual fathers and mothers had hoped for and longed to see.” Then they turned to the Western Church leaders standing on stage with them and said, “Please walk with us. We need your wisdom, we need your support, and we need your love. We are one family.”
God’s Sovereign Plan
So I believe God has uniquely positioned the Chinese, through their faithfulness and humility, to lead in the Church in this part of our end-time journey – from the ends of the earth back to Jerusalem. But the Chinese also possess a key something beyond their freedom from the fear of death that qualifies them for this journey: an equally fervent love for the sons of Ishmael and for the sons of Isaac.
The Chinese Church loves the Jewish people in the same way that they love and feel called to the Arabs. And in His wisdom, God has even positioned the Chinese in the natural realm, to have major favour among the Arabs as well as respect among the Jews. So the Chinese are able to go where the Western Church cannot. They are able to stretch their arms wide to embrace not only the sons of Ishmael and the sons of Isaac, but also the Western Church, bringing the whole Body together into one family.
The Restoration of All Things
Acts 3:21 tells us that a time is coming before the return of Jesus when the Father will restore everything. Every promise will be fulfilled, including the one spoken in Haggai 2:9 that the “glory of the latter house will be greater than the glory of the former.” I believe one of the next major restorations we are going to witness as the Body of Christ heads “back to Jerusalem” will be the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles – God dwelling among His people in a way unprecedented since the days of Solomon.
And I can see how again, in His sovereign wisdom and timing, the Lord is raising up the Chinese to be forerunners in this for the whole global body of Christ. What I am witnessing today among the Chinese defies description. Their humility and complete abandonment to the will of God, is allowing the Lord to speedily bring them into unity one with another and alignment with his Headship. And the presence of God that I have experienced when I am among the Chinese I believe is a foretaste of the glory that is the Bride’s inheritance in the last days. And I trust the Lord will use this deposit of His presence among the Chinese to provoke jealousy in the rest of the Church, causing a remnant in every nation to begin to cry out to the Lord to prepare them also to be a resting place for His glory.
Wise Men from the East
Two thousand years ago, wise men from the East followed the signs pointing to the coming Messiah. Today, as part of their eternal destiny the Lord is once again raising up “wise men from the East” as forerunners to trumpet a call to the Church worldwide to recognize the signs of her soon-returning King.
In the global “chess board” of God’s end-time purposes, the Lord is now surprising His opponent by moving His “Chinese piece” into a strategic position, a spiritual “checkmate” that will assure His victory at the end of the game.
To the Chinese believers: the Spirit is calling you to embrace your destiny – you have been brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this.
To all the Asian brethren: the time has come for “wise men from the East” to walk in humility and brokenness together as one so that you might to fulfill your mandate to awaken the global body to the hour in which we are living.
And to the Western Church: God is asking you by faith and humility to join with the Chinese believers as they lead the whole body of Christ in this new journey, from the ends of the earth back to Jerusalem.
May God grant the grace for us all to walk together as one man in complete submission to the Headship of Christ, bringing pleasure to the heart of the Father and the fulfillment of His purposes for the Bride worldwide.

Though they intended to return to Egypt a few months later, God clearly directed them to stay in Canada. For almost fifteen years, under the umbrella of Watchmen for the Nations (a relational network of hundreds of ministries in Canada) David facilitated a journey among a remnant of the Canadian church to stand in the gap to redeem the destiny of the nation. He began traveling to China in 2006 after a group of leaders, who had attended a Canadian national gathering, shared their longing to see the Chinese walk in the same redemptive journey for their people that they had experienced in Canada. It was more than ten years ago that the Lord first began speaking to me about the role of the Chinese in His end-time global purposes.
I was invited by Pastor Ernest Chan, a well-known American Chinese leader, to speak at a large conference he was hosting in Los Angeles in July 2001. Many Chinese believers would be attending from all over the world. I was seeking the Lord about what to share in the meeting when He asked me a question.
“What hinders My kingdom from being established in the Middle East, David?”
Having been born and raised in Egypt, a Muslim nation, I knew very well.
“It’s the fear of persecution and the fear of death,” I answered.
“Yes, but I have a prepared a people,” He continued, “a remnant of My body who have no fear of persecution or death. It is the Chinese people and they will have a very special role to play in seeing the end-time destiny of the Jews and the Arabs being released.”
I was stunned by this revelation. My heart has always been for my people, the Arabs, and through my journey in Canada, God had also given me a heart for the Jewish people. But I had never seen any connection between this and the Chinese.
When I shared what the Lord had revealed to me in the meeting that night, the presence of God came in an unusual way. It was as if we were all captured in a divine moment of sovereign revelation. In fact, Ernest was so stirred that he immediately encouraged the people to sow into printing one million CDs of this message, to be shared throughout the Chinese world. On the spot, all the money was raised.
But when we went to the professional company who was producing the CDs of the conference, the recording of my sharing was completely blank! All you could hear was my voice praying at the beginning, then silence throughout my message until I came to the closing prayer. As soon as I said “Amen” the recording began again.
We assumed it was an equipment malfunction, so my friend and pastor Gideon Chiu, who had been videotaping the meeting on his camcorder, suggested we could take the audio from his tape. But when we looked at the tape it was the exactly the same story: just as I began my message, the tape went blank and the recording never resumed until just after I finished.
My first thought was that this was warfare from the enemy. But then the Lord spoke to me clearly saying, “It is not the time for this message to go wider yet, David.”
So I left this conference knowing there was something profound about the destiny of the Chinese, but I wasn’t sure what, where or when the next step would be. A few months later, Pastor Ernest invited me to join him for some meetings he was having in Asia that November. I prayed and I felt the Lord said to go. Before this though, I was scheduled to speak in an international conference in Israel.
Then September 11th happened. The airline schedules were in chaos and all the new airport security measures were causing huge delays. It was not an easy time to be an Egyptian flying to Israel. So I asked the Lord if I should cancel my trip. But He answered that I must go because there was someone I was supposed to meet there.
At the conference I had many meetings with many people, but at no time did I get the clear sense “this is the person” I was supposed to meet. So I came home mystified.
A few days later, Pastor Ernest called, saying he had received a message from Taiwanese pastor who had just met me in Jerusalem and wanted me to speak in his church during the November trip.
Suddenly I remembered this man – he was supposed to leave back home before I arrived, but the post 9-11 airline problems had delayed his return by a couple of days. So he “happened” to be there while I was speaking. After my sharing he asked to meet with me, but because he didn’t speak English we had to communicate through a translator. When he told me he was from Taiwan, I mentioned I would be traveling there in November and he had asked if I would speak at a leaders meeting at his church. I didn’t think much of it – he seemed like a very nice man and I thought maybe he was the pastor of a small church who would like me to encourage his leadership.
“David, do you know who this man is?” Pastor Ernest continued. “Pastor Nathaniel Chow is the founder and apostolic overseer of a movement with more than one hundred daughter churches worldwide. He is one of the most respected and trusted leaders in Taiwan.” At that moment I realized the Lord was up to more than I could understand.
I will never forget this meeting in Taipei, which was a gathering of the movement’s leaders from all around the world. As I began to share about the destiny of the Chinese, suddenly my translator (who I later found out was Tony Tseng, the president of Good TV, the only 7×24 Chinese Christian TV station in the world) started weeping to the point he could no longer continue. The rest of those present were also so overcome that they came out of their chairs weeping and travailing and lay across the altar and the platform calling out for the destiny of the Chinese.
As I watched this scene unfold, the Lord spoke to me that the day would come when He would gather the Chinese people to worship and seek His face, waiting on Him for His steps to see the destiny of the Chinese fulfilled. And when they did, this would benefit not only the Chinese, but God’s end-time purposes for the Middle East and for the body of Christ globally.
The Journey Begins
I believe that we are now living in the days when the destiny of the Chinese is coming into collision with the timings of God. In 2009 the Lord opened the door for the first Chinese gathering in Vancouver, Canada during Rosh Hashanah. One thousand believers gathered to worship and wait on the Lord without man-made agenda or schedule. The Chinese are masters at planning and scheduling, but for this gathering they chose to lay aside these natural talents to allow His Spirit to completely direct the meetings. And the Lord honoured their obedience by His manifested presence. And He used this gathering as a seed to birth the first global gathering of the Chinese in Hong Kong in May 2010.
In the first Hong Kong gathering, the Lord focused on uniting the five thousand Chinese, attending from Asia and around the world, into one Body as a prophetic sign of His desire for the greater Chinese Church. As the remnant who attended obeyed and waited on the Lord together, He released a spirit of repentance that broke through traditional barriers between streams and nations and caused the hearts of all those present to be knit together as one true family. At the end of the gathering, all those present stood and declared prophetically, on behalf of the wider Chinese Body of Christ, “The Chinese are one family! The Chinese have come home! Back home to the Father!”
The next year, the Lord released another call for believers, from Asia and around the world, to gather in Hong Kong during the Feast of Pentecost, June 8-11, 2011. And He gave this promise from Jeremiah 32:39: “I will give them one heart and one way.” Twelve thousand believers from more than thirty nations responded to this call. During the gathering, the Lord challenged the Chinese to lay aside their own agendas and plans and surrender their lives unconditionally to Him. His desire was that this act of corporate surrender would become a seed through which He might restore the miracle of one accord (divine unity) into the Body of Christ worldwide, preparing the Bride for her end-time mandate and hastening the Lord’s return. As all those present stood and covenanted by faith, I believe a beachhead was established in the spirit realm for the sake of the body of Christ worldwide.
In 2012, fifteen thousand believers from many nations once again met in Hong Kong for the “Kingdom Come” gathering, August 1-4, 2012. Before God’s Kingdom can be established in the world, first He must secure His rule and reign over a remnant of His Body. And the Lord used the Chinese as a prophetic seed for the whole Body as they declared His Supreme Rule as King of kings and Lord of lords over His Bride, from every colour and tribe and nation. Then Chuck Pierce, standing on behalf of the Western Church leaders, presented a key, inscribed with Isaiah 22:22, to the leaders of the Mainland Chinese church. This was a prophetic symbol of the West acknowledging and affirming the role God is giving the Chinese to lead the next wave in the Church.
The Road to Jerusalem
If we look at the bigger picture of the Church since Christ came to earth, we know that its foundations were laid by the Jewish people – the twelve apostles and faithful early converts. There were no Gentiles in the Church at this time.
But when the Lord opened the door for the Gentiles, it brought the Church into a whole new dimension of our journey; the phase of taking the gospel literally from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. This phase, led primarily by the Western Church, has lasted almost two thousand years and was primarily evangelism and missions-oriented. But the next and final stage of the Church I believe will be the Church returning from the ends of the earth to Jerusalem and it will lead to an unprecedented outpouring of the Holy Spirit and world-impacting revival,
Many people speak about the “back to Jerusalem” movement and the Chinese Church has recognized this is a part of their destiny as a people. But what does this term “back to Jerusalem” actually mean? One view is that it’s about preaching the gospel in the Middle East. And there is truth in this as we will always have a mandate to preach the gospel everywhere we go and to see the lost saved.
But I think there is another angle that we may not have fully understood. I believe that the Lord is also entrusting the Chinese to lead the nations into the convergence of the end-time Kingdom. What do I mean by that? The Church worldwide is going to make its way “back to Jerusalem” in the spirit realm, reclaiming all the Lord originally intended His body to be. And through this journey, God will confront the principalities and powers that have kept the Church captive for centuries.
Shaking the Idols
The Kingdom of God was never meant to just be a teaching, it was meant to be the living reality of the Church. But in order for God to birth this unshakable Kingdom among and through the Body of Christ, first He must shake the kingdoms of this world and set the Church free from the powers that have defiled His name.
The financial meltdown that began on Rosh Hashanah 2008 and left the economies of many nations de-stabilized is a first sign of this shaking. God is determined to set His people free from the control of Mammon so that through the Church, He can birth a new economy based on His laws and principles. It will be the economy of the Josephs and the Daniels.
The increasing turmoil in the Middle East in the last few years is another major sign of the clash between kingdoms. Egypt is shaking and so are Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey to name a few. Why? Because these are the nations that were the birthing places of many ancient strongholds, the habitations of powerful spirits that are still ruling in the earth today. And God is looking to confront these spirits, like the spirit of the prince of Persia and the Babylonian system which, fueled by the power of human initiative, seeks to build a name for itself. And He will also confront the spirit of religion that we see warring over the land of Israel, as well as the gods of Egypt.
Some people think the gods of Egypt are long gone. But they didn’t vanish – they just took on new names in our modern culture: Freemasonry and the New Age. Both of these systems find their roots in Egypt. That’s why the Freemasons have adopted the obelisk, the pyramid, and the “all-seeing eye”. Have you ever wondered why many of the major financial centers of the world have an obelisk? It’s because the Freemasons took them from Egypt and erected them in these places so that they could exert spiritual control over all the financial systems of the world.
Now in our Western rational mindset we think, “What are you talking about? An obelisk is just a statue. What kind of power is in a statue?” Well, if you want to know the power, go back to I Samuel 5 when the Ark of the Covenant went into the temple of Philistines. There was a god in that temple in a statue form called Dagon. And when the Ark of the Covenant entered the temple of the Philistines that statue, Dagon, fell down. Why would a statue fall down if it’s just a rock? After all, a rock can’t think or see. So why did it fall down? It fell because there was a spirit inhabiting that statue and in the presence of God, there is no power that can stand. So down Dagon went, bowing before the Ark. The next day the Philistines found him and pushed him back up. But when they returned, what did they find? Dagon was not only bowed down, now he was broken too.

In the global “chess board” of God’s end-time purposes, the Lord is now surprising His opponent by moving His “Chinese piece” into a strategic position, a spiritual “checkmate” that will assure His victory at the end of the game.
To the Chinese believers: the Spirit is calling you to embrace your destiny – you have been brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this.
To all the Asian brethren: the time has come for “wise men from the East” to walk in humility and brokenness together as one so that you might to fulfill your mandate to awaken the global body to the hour in which we are living.
And to the Western Church: God is asking you by faith and humility to join with the Chinese believers as they lead the whole body of Christ in this new journey, from the ends of the earth back to Jerusalem.
May God grant the grace for us all to walk together as one man in complete submission to the Headship of Christ, bringing pleasure to the heart of the Father and the fulfillment of His purposes for the Bride worldwide.

David Demian was born in Egypt to Coptic Christian parents. In 1984, he left a successful career as a medical doctor when he obeyed the call of the Lord to begin to prepare the Bride for the Second Coming. His passion to be a friend of God, first and foremost, has led him on an amazing journey in life and ministry. In 1988, he and his wife Ruth, a Canadian medical doctor he met in Egypt, came to Canada for the birth of their first son. Though they intended to return to Egypt a few months later, God clearly directed them to stay in Canada. Today they still live in Vancouver, BC where they raise their family of seven children and Ruth continues to practice as a physician.
For almost fifteen years, under the umbrella of Watchmen for the Nations (a relational network of hundreds of ministries in Canada) David facilitated a journey among a remnant of the Canadian church to stand in the gap to redeem the destiny of the nation. He began traveling to China in 2006 after a group of leaders, who had attended a Canadian national gathering, shared their longing to see the Chinese walk in the same redemptive journey for their people that they had experienced in Canada. Today David’s main focus is walking with leaders in China and other Asian countries, helping them to facilitate their own journeys to see the redemptive destinies of their nations released and the Bride of Christ prepared for Jesus return.
