Blood Red Lunar Eclipses and Solar Eclipses on God’s Holy Days in 2014-2015 – What Does It all Mean?

                        Astonishing as it seems, four lunar eclipses will occur on

                        God’s annual Holy Days during Passover and Sukkot in the

years 2014 and 2015, and two solar eclipses on Nisan 1 and

the Feast of Trumpets!  These are exceedingly rare occurrences,

especially when they dovetail with God’s Holy Days!  What

does it all mean?  What is the prophetic significance?  It’s

time to wake up and take heed of these ominous, fateful

warnings from heaven!

            According to the Jewish calendar, the year 2008 is a Sabbatical year.  A new Sabbatical cycle will begin September 29, 2008.  2015 will also be a Sabbatical year.

            But most amazing of all, it has been discovered that in the years 2014 and 2015 there will be two solar eclipses and four lunar eclipses, all of them occurring on Jewish Holy Days!

            The Lunar eclipses break down as follows:

            Passover                                 April 15, 2014

            Feast of Tabernacles              October 8, 2014

            Passover                                 April 4, 2015

            Feast of Tabernacles              September 28, 2015

            The two Solar eclipses connected with God’s Holy Days in 2014-2015 occur:

            Adar 29/Nisan 1(new year)            March 20, 2015

            Feast of Trumpets                  September 13, 2015

            It was on Nisan 1 that the Hebrew new year’s day occurred, according to the Scriptures (Exo.12:1-2).  On the anniversary of this date, one year later, Moses raised up the Tabernacle of God, inaugurated it, and the glory of God descended from heaven  (Exodus 40:2, 17, 34).

            The real shocker is that this phenomenon is extremely rare, for this pattern of eclipses to fall on both Passover and Sukkot in two years in a row, and for a solar eclipse to occur on important Holy Days in the same year (2015). 

            This intriguing, incredible discovery comes from Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries, in Bonner Lake, Washington. 

Biltz was intrigued with the statement in the Scriptures that connect the second coming of the Messiah with “signs in the heavens,” particularly the signs that “the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood” before the return of Christ.

He went on the internet, to the U.S. Government NASA website to see if there were any significant eclipses of the sun and moon during the next few years.  To his surprise, he discovered four lunar eclipses in the Sabbatical year 2014/2015, and was intrigued by the fact that they occurred on God’s annual Holy Days!

Writing about the amazing discovery in the May 2008 issue of Prophecy in the News, J. R. Church declares, “This is most unusual.  It is a rare occurrence for four lunar cycles on successive Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) observances.  It will not happen again for hundreds of years.”

            Says J. R. Church, in a letter accompanying the magazine issue, “Four lunar eclipses occurring on the Feast of Tabernacles and Passover in two successive years are phenomenal. But add to them two solar eclipses on the two days that open the Jewish year – Adar 29/Nisan1, just two weeks before Passover, and Tishri 1 (Rosh Hashannah) – is uncanny.  On each of these six Jewish Holy Days, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give her light.  Will this happen again in the 21^st century?  No.  Did it happen in the 20^th century?  Yes, in 1949/1950, the year following Israel’s statehood, and 1967/1968, the year Jerusalem was liberated in the Six-Day War!  Before that, you have to go back to 1493 for four successive lunar eclipses on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles” (May 2008 letter).

            Is God Almighty telling us something?  Skeptics and scoffers will denounce the discovery as mere coincidence, but the prophet Daniel informs us, “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined.  But the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand” (Dan.12:10).

            Peter warned, “Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (II Pet.3:3-4).

            Another shocking discovery is that coming up this summer there will be three SOLAR eclipses in a row, in 2008, 2009, and 2010, all on the date of the first of Av, the fifth Hebrew month of the year.

            The first day of Av is in the middle of the time period when the Jewish people mourn the destruction of the Temple of God.  Historically Moses descended from Mt. Sinai with the two tablets of the Ten Commandments, and found the people engaged in gross idolatry at the foot of the mountain.  That was on Tammuz 17.  Also, on Av 9, the Hebrew spies returned from spying out the land of Canaan and brought an evil report – and the people lost faith in God, and were condemned to wander 40 years in the wilderness (Numbers 14:34).  Av 9 also commemorates the date of the destruction of the first Temple by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in 586 B.C., and the second Temple by the Roman general Titus on the same date in 70 A.D.

These two dates are days of infamy in Israel.  The three week period between Tammuz 17 and Av 9 are called “between the straits” and are days of mourning, repentance, and lamentations. 

How interesting that a solar eclipse will fall on the date of Av 1, in the middle of mourning and lamentation, three years in a row!

Mark Blitz believes that these phenomenal solar eclipses on this date signify that God could begin judging the Gentile nations this summer, beginning Av 1.  Solar eclipses, he says, are designed for Gentile nations, whereas lunar eclipses are designed for Israel.  These eclipses, too, then could be a WARNING FROM GOD TO A WAYWARD WORLD!

The Second Coming

            Writes Joe Kovacs for WorldNetDaily,“Will Jesus Christ return to Earth in the year 2015?  And can studying NASA's website ~ evidence for such a scenario?

“A minister who promotes the Old Testament roots of Christianity suggests a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God’s annual holy days seven years from

now could herald what’s come to be known as the ‘Second Coming’ of Jesus.

“ ‘God wants us to look at the biblical calendar,’ says Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash.  ‘The reason we need to be watching is [because] He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays.’” (“Blood Moon Eclipses:  2^nd Coming in 2015?  Minister uses NASA forecasting to study signals of Jesus’ return,” WorldNetDaily, May 9, 2008).

In an interview with J. R. Church of “Prophecy in the News,” Biltz said he’s been “studying prophecies that focus on the sun and moon, even going back to the book of Genesis where it states the lights in the sky would be ‘be for signs, and for seasons.’

“ ‘It means a signal, kind of like ‘one if by land, two if by sea.’ It’s like

God wants to signal us,’ he said. ‘The Hebrew word implies . . . ‘not only is it a signal, but it's a signal for coming or His appearing.’”

Biltz adds, “You have the religious year beginning with the total solar eclipse, two weeks later a total lunar eclipse on Passover, and then the civil year beginning with the solar eclipse followed two weeks later by another total blood red moon on the Feast of Succoth all in 2015.”

Biltz focused on the precise times of solar and lunar eclipses, sometimes called “blood moons,” by logging onto NASA’s website on eclipses.  He noticed a rare phenomenon of four consecutive total lunar eclipses which are known as a “tetrad.”  During this century, tetrads occur at least six times, but the only string of four consecutive “blood moons” coincide with God’s Holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles.  This occurs between the years 2014 and 2015 on today’s Gregorian calendar.

In the 20^th century, he noticed that such successive blood moons coinciding with Passover and Tabernacles occurred only on 1967-68, the year the Jews liberated Jerusalem from the control of the Arabs.  He also noted that the only other such combination of eclipses in the 20^thcentury took place in 1949-50, the year following the Jewish state’s hard-fought war of independence, when Israel became a nation.

Just how significant is this astounding information?  Is this another tell-tale clue pinpointing the period of the second coming of the Messiah?

“Signs” in the Heavens

            Why did God create the stars in the heavens in the first place?  We read one significant answer in Genesis, the first chapter. 

            Moses wrote:  “And God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as SIGNS to mark seasons and days and years” (Genesis 1:14, NIV).

            The word for “sign” here, in the Hebrew, is owth, and means “a signal, as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence,” etc.   The word for “seasons” is the Hebrew moadim and means “festivals, literally, appointed times.”

            Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon points out that this word means “a sign,” “a token” (Exo.12:13; Josh.2:12), “signs and times” (Gen.1:14), i.e., “signs of times.” It is used of a military ensign, a sign of something past, and a sign of something future, a portent, as well as a sign of anything which cannot be seen. 

            For “seasons”, Strong’s Concordance has “an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; spec. a festival.”  Gesenius has it, “(1) a set time, . . . (2) an assembly . . . (3) a place in which an assembly is held . . . (4) an appointed time, a signal.”

            Thus heavenly bodies, and the periodic return of comets, and celestial meteor showers, and eclipses, can be, in Biblical terms, a “heavenly sign”!  Yeshua spoke of such signs occurring before His return to planet Earth.  When such a sign occurs on a moad or moadim, or Festival of God, it is especially significant.

Biblical Prophecies

            Jesus Christ Himself said, referring to the days before His second coming:  “And there will be fearful sights and GREAT SIGNS from heaven”  (Luke 21:11, KJV).  Christ went on, “And there will be SIGNS in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars . . .” (Luke 21: 25).

            Also speaking of His second coming, to rule this world, and to deliver mankind from its greatest crisis in all human history, Jesus foretold:  “Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars [meteors] will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken [an incredible cosmic quaking and shaking -- see Hebrews 12:25-28; Hag.2:21-23].  Then the SIGN of the Son of Man will APPEAR in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will SEE the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and glory” (Matt.24:29-31). 

            Such signs are also mentioned as occurring before the day of the Lord in the Tanakh -- the Old Testament  Scriptures (Joel 2:30-31; Joel 2:10; Joel 3:14-16).

            Does God often send mysterious “signs” in the heavens before He performs mighty works in the earth?  What do the Scriptures say about this?

            The prophet Joel tells us, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD” (Joel 2:31).

            These awesome occurrences in the skies and heavens will stagger mankind, causing terrible fright and anxiety.  John in Revelation prophesied, that in the period just before the coming of the Messiah, and the “Day of the Lord,” that great signs would take place:  “I look when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood” (Rev.6:12). 

            “And the stars of heaven fell to the earth [meteor showers], as a fig tree droops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.  Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place” (Rev.6:13-14).  After this, then, comes the final “Day of the Lord” -- the time when God Himself begins to punish the nations, and bring His divine judgments of wrath and fury.

Jesus' Step-by-Step Prophecy

         Jesus' disciples came to Him and asked Him privately, “When shall these things be? And what shall be the SIGN of thy coming, and of the END of the world [Greek aion, “age”]?” (Matt.24:3).  Jesus warned them first of all to beware of false prophets and false religious teachers who proclaim heresy (Matt.24:4-5).  He then prophesied wars and rumors of wars, but said these did not signal the end (verse 6).  He even predicted wars, earthquakes, famines and plagues, but said these were but “the beginning of sorrows” (verses 7-8).

         Jesus then warned that persecution of true Christians would greatly increase (verses 9-20), and many false prophets and deceivers would rise up (verse 11).  This has begun to happen around the world -- with Christians being persecuted vehemently in Turkey, Egypt, India, China, Moslem countries, and even in "secular" societies like the United States, and the western world!

         Jesus then announced, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” (verse 12).  This has begun to happen!  The world has seen a sharp increase in violence, lawlessness, and general immorality and iniquity.  Riots, looting, arson, murder, pornography, violence in movies, profanity, and the breakdown of the home and family -- all are contributing to a world gone berserk and gangs and rioters running amok!  Civil disorder and ethnic strife and hatred are rapidly increasing. 

         In the midst of this, Jesus said, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in ALL THE WORLD for a WITNESS unto all nations; and THEN the END will come” (verse 14). That also has begun to happen!  In the pages of Prophecy Flash, and via the internet and worldwide web around the world, this final message of the coming of God's KINGDOM is being hurled around the globe!

         Jesus said that the next thing to look for is “the abomination of desolation” standing in the Temple of God in Jerusalem (Matt.24:15) – and when we see that happening, those in Jerusalem should FLEE to the hills and mountains for safety (verses 16-20).  That final invasion of Israel and Jerusalem in the Middle East will lead to a captivity and time of travail lasting 42 months (compare Matt.24:21-22 with Rev.13:4-6, 11:1-2, 12:6, 14). 

         Notice – Jesus gave us a specific TIME TABLE of many sequential prophecies, each to be fulfilled in their proper order, BEFORE and LEADING UP TO HIS SECOND COMING! After this Great Tribulation, Jesus foretold great signs in the heavens, followed by the “Day of the Lord” – the time He will return in awesome glory and power (Matt.24:29-31).  This will occur at the seventh or “last” trumpet (I Cor.15:50-51; I Thess.4:14-17; Rev.11:15).

         Isn’t this plain?

                         

         These are NOT mere “speculations”! The apostle Peter wrote in these terms: “We have also a MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a LIGHT that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

         “Knowing this first, that NO prophecy of the scripture is of any private  interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake  as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (II Pet.1:19-21).

         Prophecy is a vital and integral part of the Word of God!  It is not something which should be treated lightly, cavalierly, with disrespect and dishonor.  It is vital to our SALVATION!  If it were not so important, then God would not have inspired 2/3rds of His Word to deal with prophecy, and 90% of that to apply to the LAST DAYS, the generation alive just before the return of the Messiah in awesome power and glory to deliver His people and to save the earth from utter annihilation, destruction, and cosmocide!

         Paul wrote, even commanded, “Never disdain prophetic revelations” (I Thess.5:20, Moffatt), or, “Do not scoff at those who prophesy” (TLB).  Have you become a scoffer in these last days?

         What is the main lesson these vital End-Time SIGNS in the heavens show us? 

                    

         OUR GENERATION -- this present generation -- will be the FINAL, LAST, END-TIME GENERATION that will see all these things come to pass, and that will WITNESS the awesome, spine-tingling return of JESUS CHRIST, THE MESSIAH in tremendous power and unimaginable GLORY!!!

         Jesus Himself said:  “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be fulfilled” (Matt.24:34).  You and I – those of us of THIS present generation of the Atomic Bomb, nuclear weapons, biological and chemical weapons of mass destruction –WE are the ones living in the Biblical "time of the end" -- the FINAL generation!   The time has come.  The Messiah's footsteps are approaching.  His coming is near.  His heavenly stallion is getting nervous, chomping at the bit, getting ready for that great ride through the sky (Rev.19:11-14).  The heavenly army is growing tense with excitement and anticipation.  The time is near – the moment we are all breathlessly waiting for. 

         The “signs” are increasing, for those who have eyes to see and hearts to understand! John declares:

                                    “The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the

                                    land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him

                                    who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the

                                    things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in

                                    it,  that there should be delay no longer.

                                    "But in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel,

                                    when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be

                                    finished, as he declared to His servants the prophets”

                                    (Revelation 10:5-7, NKJV).

            Could the years 2014-2015 picture the final years of the countdown to the approaching footsteps of the Messiah? 

            Could the present “Sabbatical week” – 2008-2015 – be the beginning of the final week of “woes” -- the final seven years of this age?

            Could this be the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week, which heralds in the “end of the age,” “to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy”? (Dan.9:24-27).

            Could this be the final “seven times” or “years” of Leviticus 26 – a time of plagues and punishments upon all Israel?  God says, “I will punish you seven times [“years”] more for your sins.  I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.  And your strength shall be spent in vain” (Lev.26:18—20).

            During this time, God says, “Your highways shall be desolate” (verse 22).  “I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant . . . I will send pestilence among you . . . I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries into desolation . . . I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste” (Lev.26:22-33).

            But this horrendous time of punishment will terminate with the COMING OF THE MESSIAH! 

            These heavenly signs are a WITNESS from God to underscore that fact that the end is drawing to a close very SOON!  These heavenly portents are very auspicious for true Christians and Messianic believers!   As Yeshua says:

                        “Now when these things BEGIN to happen, LOOK UP

                        and LIFT UP your heads, because your REDEMPTION

                        draws near” (Luke 21:28).

               

         Blessed is He that comes in the Name of the Lord!  Baruch haba ha shem Adonai! 

         As God’s people, we urgently, breathlessly await that “Great Day of Jezreel” and the coming of our Lord!

Let the Breakthrough Begin

I released a prophetic word in January that 2013 is the year of “sudden good breaks.”

“Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around.” Proverbs 13:12 (MSG)

March is coming in like a lion but going out like a lamb

Are you going through a hard time? Watch and wait as God unfolds new plans and strategies over the next few weeks. Sometimes we need to battle, other times we need to let the storm pass. This is a time to do both: battle discouragement for a while but watch as the storm passes.

March

This month is when things start to spring into action with what God is revealing and calling you to do. Take practical steps and stay steady. It will benefit you to create a plan of action as “faith without works is dead.” James 2:20 (NKJV)

There is a serious shift of spiritual momentum happening right now. Things that may have required more energy to do in the past will be easier.  New connections are happening this month as well. I am tackling new projects this year that I have not been able to accomplish in the past. Try something new and see for yourself!

Fireball over California

On February 12^th while landing in Redding, California to speak at the Power and Love Prophetic Conference at Bethel Church, God spoke to me a few things and the last thing I heard was: There will be a sign in the Heavens on Saturday, February 16^th.  

Sure enough, on February 16^th, a fireball appeared in the sky over Northern, California. It was a sign that something major is coming. Hold tight as God is about to move. Don’t buy into the discouragement that’s coming in heavy from the enemy. I have had several spiritual warfare dreams already this month because there is a battle going on. But serious change is happening this month. New confidence is here from God to break through old mindsets and patterns. You can trust what is happening right now as a long-awaited change of seasons has just taken place.

Five-year season ending

Just like there was a financial downturn in 2008, the past five years also brought a spiritual downturn. So many people have been in a spiritual state of limbo, which has affected their economic state as well. But 2013 is the year of turn around of losses in the areas of favor and finances.Watch as God begins to restore these things in your life this year.

Time of adjustment

We are in a time of a major changing of the guard. It is not easy to understand and not meant to bring fear to anyone. We are seeing a major shifting in leadership (evident with the resignation of the Pope). Because of this, some will resign, some will lose interest, some will die, and others will fall away from their original calling. God is realigning things right now and we will see major results by June.

Something Epic

On March 4^th I heard the Holy Spirit speak to me that “something epic” is going to happen in a good way! Be on the lookout for epic level breakthrough in your life.

Accelerated healing through the end of March

God spoke to me last December that we entered a 90-day period of accelerated healing in three key areas. It is a time to heal broken hearts, lost dreams, and hopelessness. If you have experienced loss or what seems like repeated attacks of the enemy in any of these areas, then this is great news from God.

God has been showing me that there is a new “tipping point” in the spirit that is starting to flow.

There is a supernatural grace right now, or tipping point, into your destiny where partnering with God in the small things will set you up for even bigger things. You might start small but DREAM BIG! This is the year of “sudden good breaks!”

Hear God and take action

This is a time to take action in response to the ways that God is speaking to you. Put feet to your prophetic words and see how God opens new doors for you. Take a look at how the Apostle Paul heard God and fulfilled his ultimate destiny to go to Rome and witness to Caesar.

Steps Paul took to fulfill his destiny:

• He started out feeling compelled. He had a sense from God to go to Jerusalem but did not know what would happen (Acts 20:22–23).

• As he took steps to fulfill what he was sensing, a well-known prophet confirmed it. This prepared Paul to be willing to die if necessary (Acts 21:10–14).

• The Lord Himself came and told Paul to take courage and go to Rome (Acts 23:11).

Paul felt compelled by God to do something but he did not know what it was. By taking the simple steps that he did know, (that is, to go to Jerusalem), God revealed the rest to him in the process. It’s time to take the first steps and look for the confirmation.

We are in a time of radical transition. Watch. Take steps. Battle through discouragement. The God of surprises is going to turn things around. I know it and am pulling for you!

Wave of Revival is Coming -Prepare

A Prophetic Word through Patricia King February 21, 2013 The Spirit of God says: "Revival is a wave of the mercy of God revealing His goodness. The wave washes over people and nations and is to result in repentance and realignment to His sovereign purposes so that He can pour out great glory.  A great wave is coming soon that will hit the nations unto harvest...if you... Prepare...Pray...Watch” A fresh outpouring of the Spirit is coming and we are being invited to posture ourselves in partnership with the Lord for this.  The wave that is coming will wash over all the nations. Many will come to Christ. The Spirit of God is looking for those who will prepare their hearts before Him as He is looking for those who will serve His purposes in the foundation of this coming move. He is looking for "anchors" for this wave and is requesting that we: 1. Prepare. He is calling us to prepare our hearts before Him in readiness -- repenting from those things that would distract us from gazing upon His goodness, mercy, and purity. The key in the preparation is to be absorbed in His goodness. This revival will not come as a result of striving for it but by looking at Jesus and worshiping Him for His goodness and grace and celebrating the finished work of the cross.  This preparation will stir expectancy within for what is coming but will also create deeper repentance from sin, compromise, and dead works. 2.  Pray. The prophetic reveals the purposes but prayer births the purposes. Pray for a powerful, sovereign, wave of His mercy and goodness to wash over and transform nations and peoples.  Many individuals, ministries, and churches will be called to fasting and prayer to birth this revival in their lives, churches, and regions. 3.  Watch.  Look for the signs of revival with expectation.  It is like looking for the rain when you see the clouds coming.  Be watchful and when it comes, embrace it. Revival is often very different than what you expect it to look like. Many were waiting for the Messiah and knew the prophetic words but when Jesus came they did not recognize Him because He did not come as they expected.  As a result many rejected Him rather than embraced Him.  Pray for discernment so you can identify His presence when He manifests in fullness...and watch. 1 Kings 18:41-46 Now Elijah said to Ahab, "Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower." I believe this moment represents a nation called Canada rising up, and God’s people in this nation rising up in a way that no other nation on earth at this time will rise up. I believe that we had to have this meeting, just to say: that Canada now will begin to lead in kingdom demonstration.

But I say to this nation of Canada, I now call you and honour you as I honoured my daughter Abigail in the word. I say to you, you will become a nation that does not back down from the enemy, but a nation that mediates among nations. And I say from this day forward, my people, my kingdom people in this nation will wear a supernatural wisdom of mediation. For you will be in meetings and you will be in places and immediately I will cause you to know my mind. I say even the first fruit of my people in this meeting, I will now open up windows in your heart that I can communicate in even while you sleep. I say tonight, I am shifting my kingdom plan in this land and because you have gathered, I will open up ways for you to shift through you what I am shifting from heaven into the earth realm.

I say many nations will now rise and wars will begin in new ways, but Canada will stand, even in the midst of places such as Iran, such as Syria, such as England and have my word for the hour. I say to you the next 7 years I can now move from this meeting and begin to spread through this land. I say, I will cause my Spirit not to be concentrated in one place, but I will find ways in every province for my Spirit to break loose. I say year after year, over the next 7 years, you will hear of breakouts in this land for I will break out in Edmonton, and I will break out in Winnipeg, and I will break out in Saskatchewan, and Alberta I say I will shake the ground and it will be heard through the land that the ground of Alberta has shaken, and when it shakes, I say to you, the whole nation will rise up with a voice to break down things that could not be broken down.

I say you will have influence over the rising giant of unbelief that is coming through America. I say to you, get ready for from this day forward, you will have kingdom meetings, and it will be know: my kingdom has come in Canada. For I say, the lame will leap, the sick will be healed but I will give strategies that will break poverty so that this nation, when others are drying up, this nation will prosper. I say to you this night that there is a new prosperity upon my people in this nation, and from this day forward I will give you the desire that my heart longs to be heard throughout Canada. I say, get ready, for even this movement here, will now move in every province throughout this entire land.

Paul Keith Davis: Pursue God But Earnestly Desire Spiritual Gifts

The greatest quest for mankind is the pursuit of God and the experience of His presence and glory. We have an open invitation to boldly come before the Throne of grace; yet, it remains a sacred and holy journey, requiring clean hands and a pure heart. The fruit of those who genuinely experience God this way will be evident.
Throughout history, when God's people walked before Him in truthfulness and faithfulness, He made known His presence through visible signs, visions, and displays of His might. A reverential fear of the Lord arises from such demonstrations of God's virtue. We pursue God, and at the same time earnestly desire His spiritual gifts.
Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest]; and earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual endowments (gifts), especially that you may prophesy (interpret the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching). 1 Corinthians 14:1 (AMP)
Presently an opportunity exists for our spiritual eyes and ears to be illumined in very real and profound ways. Scripture warns that where there is no vision, people perish. Discouragement and unbelief – resulting from deferred hope and seemingly unfulfilled promises – will be overcome as the Church apprehends the revelatory realm of Heaven and secures the thoughts and ways of God. That is our Biblical promise and spiritual mandate for our generation.
We are to pursue Christ and also yearn for the activation of spiritual gifts. Even so, there is a distinction in our priority in this pursuit. Our first and foremost purpose is to walk with God intimately and then allow the spiritual environment around us to manifest His gifts, signs, and wonders.
Laying the Foundation
Some time ago, I had a very interesting dream. In it I was seated across the table from Kenneth Hagin, a man whose teachings God used to establish a firm foundation in my life. When I first accepted the commissioning on my life in 1989, I discovered his book, "I Believe In Visions." That single book transformed my life as I knew it, and set me on a quest for understanding the supernatural arena of the Spirit.
After that, I dialed up Rhema Bible Training Center, gave them my credit card, and told them to send me one of everything. Little did I know what that meant! A few days later a UPS truck pulled up in front of my office, the delivery person retrieved his dolly and unloaded a dozen boxes of books and audiocassettes.
I spent the next several months devouring his resources. It was as though I had an insatiable appetite that required constant attention. As a result, I developed a great sense of respect and appreciation for Kenneth Hagin and the Kingdom principles God imparted through him.
A Dream of Instruction
Perhaps it was for this reason that the Lord allowed the dream to include Kenneth Hagin. As I was seated across the table from him, I began to express my appreciation for his walk with God and the way the Lord used him to influence my foundation in Christ. In the dream I began to specifically discuss two of his books that had particular impact upon me as an individual. They were "I Believe In Visions" and "Plans, Purposes & Pursuits."
"I Believe In Visions" was the first book I read involving a modern day saint that lived in the revelatory realm and experienced visions and visitations. As I read his book I could hear the Spirit echoing loudly within me, "You can do that, you can do that." From that date to the present hour, I have not wavered from that determination to walk with God in such a way that the visions and revelations are of a Biblical stature.
As I reviewed this important book again, a genuine conviction fell upon me involving the way our generation has, in many ways, watered down our spiritual currency. Too often we throw the word vision or visitation around flippantly until it scarcely means what it did in the days of the Bible or even in the days of people like William Branham, Kenneth Hagin, Maria Woodworth-Etter and others.
Our Challenge
While the Scriptures clearly admonish us to "earnestly desire" spiritual gifts, it is the spirit within a person utilizing the gifts that is the distinguishing factor. We must constantly examine our own hearts asking, "Is my motivation truly to build the Kingdom of Heaven, or to establish personal ambitions and agendas?"
It is surprising how easily these lines can be blurred. History has proven that. We need the Holy Spirit to guard and protect our hearts from every form of corruption that would prostitute or merchandise God's priceless gifts.
This is not meant to be a criticism but instead a challenge to lift the standard back to a Biblical perspective. I have never in my life been more convinced of the spiritual validity of true visions and visitations from the heavenly realm.
Even so, I do not want to use lofty spiritual language to describe things that are actually more accurately defined as "impressions" or the "stimulation of the imagination." Clearly, the imagination can be sanctified and used powerfully as a springboard into the realm of the Spirit. However, we must reserve terms like "vision," "visitation," "going to the Third Heaven," and "divine manifestations" for what is genuinely derived from spiritually imparted visitations from the Lord or His host.
I hope the reader understands the heart of what I am trying to convey. In our zeal for God and the spiritual realm we sometimes carelessly use spiritual language inappropriately. Calling things prophetic that are not and carelessly identifying various forms of revelation. The Bible is our standard and experiences recorded therein. All of the champions highlighted in Hebrews 11 had divine encounters that were so genuine it catapulted them into a supernatural dimension of faith and service. That is our quest.
Paul describes experiences that were more real to him than the natural realm. John was literally caught up in to a heavenly place and saw great and awesome things recorded in Scripture. Peter literally had a visitation of an angel in the form of a man that struck him and led him from the prison. These are the criteria for our language that must be restored today.
Following my dream, I personally spent two weeks in repentance for being guilty of doing this myself. In the end, the Lord spoke to me and admonished me to no longer call things prophetic that are not; do not describe things as apostolic that are not; do not call things revival that are not; and especially do not describe things as miraculous that are not. I believe part of the mandate of Apostolic Reformation is to redefine our language, revalue our spiritual currency, and bring things back to Biblical criteria.
That said, the door of opportunity to encounter the heavenly realm has never been so profound and inviting. The last-day Bride of Christ will experience all that is described in Scripture as our heritage and mandate.
Unprecedented Opportunities
We are living in a day unprecedented in history. Great and divine opportunities are imminently before us as many mysteries of the Kingdom are beginning to unfold. The prophet Daniel foresaw this day and was instructed to seal the revelation of his vision for "the time of the end" (see Daniel 7 & 12). We are living in that day, and the seal is being lifted from the revelation of end-time promises.
One of the most notable opportunities being given to His Church is the "open door" presented in the Book of Revelation:
"After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in Heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, 'Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things'" (Revelation 4:1).
A Body of righteous Believers is being given the invitation to "come up here" that He might disclose things that will be taking place in this generation. There are many within the Church who are earnestly calling upon the Lord, corporately and individually, that:
"...[He] will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3).
A careful examination of the language in this passage discloses that it is referring to truth hidden and wisely set apart for a specific time in the scheme of God. As we "call," He will "show." This is a divine invitation that cannot be approached carelessly, presumptuously, or flippantly. It is a sacred and holy mandate that must be addressed with the greatest reverence and awe.
It is essential that we are equipped with the discernment and maturity to recognize a forged imitation presented with the intent to deceive. The manna reserved for this day to unfold the Kingdom of Heaven is of priceless value. The one whose misguided desire is to "be like the Most High," will attempt, with keen earnest to keep us from it, to unleash a deluge of deluding influences into the earth.
It is our devoted pursuit to encounter God in this dimension by responding to this incredible opportunity. On a personal level, that is my constant prayer. I was overwhelmed when I read "I Believe In Visions" to think that the Creator of the universe would give me, or any person, an invitation and opportunity to encounter Him in a face-to-face exchange. Even so, we want truth and the fruit of genuine Third Heaven encounters, which are grounded in the Scriptures, bearing the seal and endorsement of God.
Our Warning
The faithful stewardship of this great responsibility falls upon those who are pursuing this dimension in God. Both the Scriptures and Church history provide illuminating attributes and fruit generated when encountering the Lord in such an awesome way. This will help us to judge the authenticity of a true Third Heaven experience and separate it from the excessive and fanatical.
One of the most often quoted passages in Scripture involves the righteous prophet Isaiah and his opportunity to ascend to the Third Heaven and encounter God in a "Throne Room" experience. He records:
"In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple" (Isaiah 6:1).
His response to such an experience is quite revealing:
"Then I said, 'Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts'" (Isaiah 6:5).
Because of his humility, an atoning provision was offered, providing the cleansing he needed to stand in this place.
Much is written about this notable prophet and his standard of righteousness and commitment to the God of Israel. Both the Scriptures and history record his stand against the apostasy and infidelity of God's covenant people. In fact, it is commonly believed that that position of purity to the truth cost him his life. It is believed and recorded in the Apocrypha that he was "sawn asunder" because he refused to compromise.
The Example of Maria Woodworth-Etter
Visions and revelations seemed to be an integral part of the ministry of Maria Woodworth-Etter. This realm of the Holy Spirit was experienced by those who were saved and others who attended the meetings to ridicule and mock her ministry. It is well-documented that many saints who were bound by various forms of oppression and sickness were delivered through their supernatural encounter with the heavenly realm during these meetings.
In each meeting in which this dimension was opened, a reverential awe permeated the auditorium and forever changed each one it touched. Lifelong commitments to the Lord were made by many individuals who discovered that "open door" in her meetings. It is reported that some actually received the gift of speaking other languages and commissioned as missionaries to the nations.
Woodworth-Etter reported that prophetic utterances were given to young and old alike concerning future events, many of which took place within days or weeks of the experience. Others returned with supernatural knowledge and insight that they had no way of knowing within themselves.
In each case, the people were captured by the humility and contrition demonstrated by those given this great opportunity to encounter God in this spiritual arena. There was no boasting or superficial behavior, only reverence, contrition and commitments to lives of consecration. Even so, great joy also characterized her life and ministry.
In one particular meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, the people of the city were particularly harsh in their treatment of this precious sister and her ministry team. The meetings were attended by some of the most hardened characters in the city. Woodworth-Etter wrote, "men stood on the seats with hats on, cigars and pipes in their mouths, coats off and sleeves rolled up...women wore dirty aprons...and bare armed...they would shoot off firecrackers and when we sang they sang even louder and when we prayed they clapped their hands and cheered. They carry pistols and clubs and were ready to kill us and tear down the tent."
The end of the story is quite different. The Lord faithfully heard the prayer of His devoted saints and responded by opening the Heavens and giving the people visions of Heaven and Hell. They encountered the spiritual dimension opened to them by the Holy Spirit. The results were that, according to Woodworth-Etter, "the fear of God came upon the multitude. The sweat came on their faces and they stood as though in a trance; men began to take their pipes out of their mouths and their hats off. The women began to cover their bare necks and arms with aprons. They felt they stood naked and guilty before God. They began to get off the seats (from standing) and sit down but some fell and lay like dead."
The evidence of a tangible touch from the "Third Heaven" was evident and easily discerned. This was true both for those who were saved and those who were not. The fruit was apparent by the responses of the people. It is often recorded in Woodworth-Etter's writings that sinners and saints alike would often cry out in reverential fear when the heavenly dimension was opened to them.
Conclusion
A phenomenal opportunity to encounter and embrace God is being given to the Church of this day and it is one that must be welcomed and protected. It is our heart and ambition to encourage every Believer to pursue this reality in God. Nonetheless, at the same time, we must also emphasize the importance of discerning the fruit of His voice so that we would not be deceived by another nor would we identify something from that sacred realm that it is merely an expression of our imagination.
On one notable occasion, the prophet Samuel stood before the people of Israel as a credible voice and God's representative. His words did not fall to the ground nor did he beg from the people for his bread and sustenance. When he shared his revelations, the people listened attentively to the validity and authenticity of His voice because he had cultivated a genuine exchange with God.
That is the position the Church of Jesus Christ must maintain in this crucial hour. It is time for prophetic ministry to emerge with a credible and trustworthy voice to address the notable issues presently unfolding.
